    I never skip anything. If the game is constantly boring/cringe/triggering/confusing (because of engrish or just poor writing), I'll just stop playing. I don't have enough time to play all the games I'd like to try, so no need to put myself through something I don't enjoy reading :unsure:

    I wouldn't play an AVN if the story wasn't worth reading. Or more accurately, I wouldn't replay and follow an AVN if the story wasn't worth reading since I can't always predict bad eggs from goods eggs :p

    Yes! It requires a bit of skills from the writer though since some put too much tsuntsun and not enough deredere which is the perfect recipe to create an unlikable character without redeem 😝

    Ideally, I'd prefer frequent updates (since I can always wait for several updates before playing anyway ^^). If the game really caught my attention, it's the best way to keep me invested. For less frequent updates, I'd expect at least regular communication from the dev team if I'm a patron...

    Until now, the censorship made me stay away from those games. I might still play some of them down the road but only those with a heavy focus on the story (that way, I won't have to cringe too often while facing their ridiculous mosaic censorships :p).

    For an AVN, it depends on the dev. Some release a new version before polishing it (in beta state for example) and I'd rather wait for the final version in that case.

    If we are only talking about AVN, then the short answer is "never". If I had more time to play games, I might have played some games with a FMC (unless sex with the opposite sex was unavoidable since I'd be only interested in a lesbian path then... That way, I would still be able to immerse...
