Thats ok, i completely understand. can you get x formerly known as twitter at least? i feel like they are both very similar in my eyes at least due to user uploaded content and the abilty to pass information as it happens, except now twitter/x has very little moderation at least from some of the stuff i have seen posted, and reddit seems to be both very unmoderated sometimes or straight up overmodderated where mods go crazu with power and if you go against there vision you get banned.
I can use Twitter if that's what you mean but, I cannot access certain account because the government doesn't allow it's people to see that account apparently

Not on reddit, twitter/X or facebook. Value privacy and my own data. its bad enough i have to deal with google to maintain a email address and watch videos on youtube. I'm a bit older so social media its not really a thing, when i was in High School nobody had cellphones much less a smartphone, one kid had a beeper. The most high tech thing was gameboy. I do post to message boards. I think there is too much politics and toxicity from what i have seen TBH in the social media i have seen. Its probably different for others but in the US our politics for a lack of a word are effed up.

Why should one be there?

I mostly lurk on Reddit.

My place to complain about everything and everyone is Twitter/X. I feel like that's where things really happen.

I mindlessly scroll through it when I have nothing better to do outside of the house.
I guess that means I treat it like a less obnoxious tiktok.

Reddit is fine for small niche communities like Marble Racing but the frontpage and any major subreddit is pure cancer. The "Cesspool of the Internet".

Reddit does have a lot of great communities, but with my ADD, I finally had to delete it, it was killing all of my time. I do still pop in from time to time, but try to keep it limited.

If Reddit allowed me to post without mods placing restrictions I would use it.

Seriously though it's not something I need to be a member just to read posts.

Reddit is fine for very specific interests. You can often find interesting content. Plus, there can be good places to ask questions, when the subreddit is focused on something.

But any subreddit that has millions of people and is intended for general audiences is rubbish.

I don't use reddit that much just to browse stuff only :)

I lurk on Reddit, but never post. There are some interesting subreddits, but the amount of bots and spam posts is getting worse.
