Like most of the people in this thread, I too am a fan of Ren'Py, it's easy to use overall, you can edit your saves easy, you can adjust your resolution easy.
It just feels like the most "Plug n Play" option when it comes to engines.
Yeah, I haven't played one that I've liked and yet I keep on trying them like that's going to change.
They all tend to feel like I'm just watching a slideshow of some other dudes favorite clips, worse still if they make me grind stats just to unlock them.
I like a more realistic art style while staying 2d though any game that is based on rule 34, I feel, should try its best to remain true to the originals art style.
Otherwise it's basically fictional characters cosplaying.
