I was obsessed with good graphics until my early 20s. Now I don't give a shit about graphics and I only play a few selected new games and quite a few old ones where I want to experience the story again.

the graphics are the reward for playing the game the story is the leadup

The plot determines whether I will continue, but the image determines whether I will start

Graphics draw me in
Story makes me stay

Least important thing: Animated scenes with a set number of sequences. It makes every sex scene formulaic.

A good story is very important, except for pure fuck games with toys and clothes changes where the graphisms and sounds are a good base.

I want a good mix of both.
If the graphics are great and there's a decent story or if the story is great and the graphic are decent, I'm in.
And sometimes I don't even care about the story as a whole if the monologues/dialogues are hot.
Bad translation/grammar though will make me quit and delete the game no matter how good the graphics are.

70/30 story over graphics.

I like more the story, but graphics are a must, I dont like much animations, but good graphics, showing how you are corrupting and transforming the inocent girl into a depraved slut is a must

to an extent graphics do matter, but a bad story will kill a game, while bad graphics just mean that more effort should be put elsewhere, for example some of my favorite video games have dogshit graphics, but make up for it in other aspects that you can easily look past the bad look

I think the story need to be at some certain level before i would bother playing it. But the same is true for the graphics though

Actually, everything is very important. When something is missing, you can worry about its lack. When you do this job, you have to be like James Cameron or Christopher Nolan. You must make sure that you do everything correctly and completely. Otherwise, it will be like the Rings of Power series produced by Jeff Bezos' Amazon and you will feel the deficiency in your bones.

While it does need to have a good story to keep interest, if graphics/artwork is bad I'll drop it, no matter the story.
