I would say principle 70% to 30% where 70% - it's good decent graphics(renders and animation ofc) 30% story where not just story - but at least good start of situation or conflict.
Great Example AVN "Adriana Pervert Diary" - game not just typical story - but with passion - and how much she wanna corrupt her lovely juice(female character) wish she desire to get

I'd it depends, nice graphics esecially well animated with a boring story is great, but a good story setup / well-written character with so-so graphics can be fine as well

Both are important but if one thing lack a bit and the other is higher class, it still works for me.

Both. If one fails the whole thing crumbles, no matter how good the other is.

both without a doubt, i think I care more about the graphics tho

It seems to me that it is a combination of story and graphics in vn games, in rpgs story and game mechanics because the grinding can get out of control

I would say it's equal to me. with that said if the story is great but the gfx is terrible, it's a turn down and vice versa.

Graphics usually gets my attention. Good Story, Characters & their personality usually makes me stay.
I can't really pick one over the other.

Both are important, but the story edges out for me. That said, I don't like grainy Daz renders with non existent lighting or something put together very quickly in HS/HS2/Koikatsu with no real love behind it.

It depends on what you are looking for. Sometimes you just need visually appealing renders and other times renders don´t matter much and is the story that catches your eye. I tend to look more for a story focused game but that is just me.

Graphics, as it's needed to visually show the story or else just go and find an adult text story

don't bad graphics also imply the author is ignoring the cardinal rule of "show, don't tell"?

For me it's like 60% visuals and 40% story. If the visuals are nice I don't mind crtl through bad story, if the visuals are bad not even good story can save it for me....
