It's funny because I'm actually playing a modded version of Skyrim right now. I'll be blunt: if you don't use MO2, don't even try.
Modding Skyrim isn't easy; you have to learn a lot and use various programs, though it's easier than it looks. Knowing how to use LOOT, FNIS, SKSE, and ReSaver, for example, are basic skills you need. Not to mention, of course, the order of your mod list for loading priorities and enabling logs so you can see, if it crashes, what caused the crash.

That's true of almost every Bethesda mod. As mods get outdated, cause errors with other mods, or you have order placement errors.

Lost count of all the times I had to reinstall a game over mod problems. CP2077 is not an easy game to mod either.

Don't forget the game engine sometimes causes crashes the longer you play as well.

Don't do this. It's literally the worst advice here so far. Vortex is the worst mod manager out there. And nexus collections sucks ass.

Use Wabbajack instead.

Ok why not been years since I played Skyrim, after a weird issue with it not putting 1080p fitting my screen like every other game I fittled with the resolution till it fit the damn screen proper odd it turned out to be 1550x870 to fit perfectly how odd. Scaling settings or super resolution would not help just had to find the perfect fit. Outside of this was not that bad to setup. They over shoot with needing 600 gigs free it takes up about 300ish or so with the install and download files. Just an FYI if you wanna try it. Got to say pretty fun walking into riverwood and banging the sister with the cuck husband watching I lol'd. Then bangs some random chick in riverwood after how cool. Looks amazing. If only AAA would make this by default (ah one can dream). Did find navigating the sexy time menu clunky as shit however and did get a crash from it (one so far). Now is there something other than the Billy Petite Body anims for OStim for you know member+ interactions?

I forgot to mention this earlier, and it’s really important—in fact, I can’t recommend strongly enough that you take my advice.

Use AI to install mods. I’m not kidding. If you have questions about how to install, clean up, organize, which patches to use, compatibility—everything—AI is an essential tool. Right now I was looking for mods to improve the children (because they’re uglier than the back of a refrigerator) and there are tons of them, with a multitude of patches, and it really takes quite a while to look at each one. In seconds, it made me a list of pros and cons so I could review them in an organized way, then it helped me with installation and compatibility, and when I wanted to use Rustic Clothes for their outfits, it recommended against it because it could cause incompatibility with another mod I have and suggested I use Prince and Proper instead, which is a safer option for me.

Also, if you experience a crash, you can send it your log so it can help you find the problem. Again, it’s an excellent tool for modding in general.

Good advice I have only so far added a few extra mods on top of Licentia NEXT to spice up the NSFW aspect really liked the idea of OStim NPCs - NPC Sex Lives Improved. Finding random NPC sexy time encounters is going to be fun. Sneaking up to some bandits going at it being the Imperial Dragonborn I am will behead the bloke and finish what he started Muahahahahahahaha. Currently debating on keeping the NFF Follower framework or using Surrender and OSurrender. Its a dark time in Tamriel and idk if you want to live well maybe you can just suck my..... after having not touched Skyrim in probably a decade the state of the mod scene is wild and I love it, the soft body physics takes the cake. No more ridge npcs.

So for the children are you using Skychild? Currently looking at the various pregnancy options. Gotta spread the seed.


[edit] Whew some hours later I got 1537 mods still a lot of play time to go to actually test all the preggo stuffs works but it should found compatibility patches so fingers crossed. Also did find what I was looking for by happenstance its on the mods sites so I am not going to call it out but it is there ended up settling for OSimpleDefeat and OSimpleAssault since these seem to be compatible with Follower Framework. Add in some BDSM anims and scripts to tie to furniture with a dash of creatures included in the fun and I think I have Licentia Brutal+ Edition hehe. (yes +) Also got it setup that Skychild and Wildchild carry feature traits from the parents from pregnancy fun times. Now to go breed Khajiit babies!!!

[edit2] Anyone looking for help setting up there NSFW Skyrim should search on your fav engine for NSFW Skyrim (OStimSA) Mod List V7 was a huge help for me.

I always keep a backup of my original Skyrim base folder, and use Mod organizer. Also, i use its dynamic profile feature to test various mods on different saves, so my original save remains 99% error free.

Well to make a members+ version of OStim Standalone took a lil leg work no other reported Ostim unfiltered worked on the modern one. The checks are in the dll now. Just finished compiling my edit
