How big of a harem is too big?

Another pet peeve, for a harem to work the characters need to be developed. To have twenty big titted blondes that you can not tell from each other, and having to repeat the same actions one after another... well, not my cup of tea.

I like different characters, with different bodies and different kinks, that you need to treat differently...

Another thing I learned as I grew old, beauty is in the flaws. But this is for another thread..

That's my take too. The greater the harem, the more shallow the characters.
Heck, one of the main reasons I loved Summertime Saga was that, despite the great number of girls, each one had different personalities, interactions and quests.

Depends on the harem. A regular harem should have just enough girls that you can still identify their character and bond with them so that it doesn't go overboard.

But if the harem consists of your family members... Say, daughters and granddaughters and so on, then let thy seed fly. Infinite size.

Long road home, IMO. Don't get me wrong i love the game, there are too many niche kinks in there to not to, but at this point the harem size (Given you say yes, as there are no downsides) the size is ridiculous

You could make a good harem with 5 (max), 7, or 8 characters if the dev know how to manage the timing and story. Beyond that, each character's screen time is too short.

HaremLit has been a growing genre of usually fantasy, sometimes urban, fiction for the past few years. This question gets asked a lot in the community and, at least in the literature space, is often met with requests for smaller over larger. Often the pattern is Harem Book 1, +1 per book after, which in a longer series can quickly make screen time limited for earlier characters and can give a "new girl replaces older ones" feel sometimes.

this is heresy there is no such thing as too big a harem repent if you want to be saved :eek::eek:🤪🤪🤪

There is probably a number up there. It should hopefully be under however many you can actually remember and bond with. Something like Polyturnon with 69 girls is likely too many.
