In regards to IRL ...that depends ..primarily on whether the person your talking to can differentiate between Incest and Inbreeding. if they cant ...yes its a hot take. If they can, they will probably be fine with it so not a hot take.

It's a great premise but a lot of the time it can get dropped really quickly in fiction, when it does it always feels really superficial and pointless that it was included in the first place

Yeah, won't find much disagreement on this site.

I like incest a lot for some of the same reasons, which paradoxically means a lot of incest games don't do much for me. When the game strips out or brushes off the actual taboo element to get to the sex scenes faster it tends to make the tag feel kinda hollow.

Yes, definitely but I think it really depends on whether it fits the story. If you're playing as a boy or girl trying to corrupt your own family members, then that kind of setup makes the most sense

Even in 'corruption' scenarios ..if it comes across to easy it just doesn't land right.

The other pet peeve I have with some Incest content is when, in primarily mainstream content be it a mainstream published game or real porn, ..is when they include one simple word ....as soon as it crops up ..im out......"Step"
For the most part I believe thats due to legal reasons....but it still sucks.

Exactly, it's the hidden ingredient that makes everything special and takes things to the next level. And I'm not talking about the step bs, only real incest between blood related relatives does true magic. Yeah, in porn games for example I can do whatever the game let's me to women, all the fucked up shit, but hearing and reading those things happening IRL legit disgust me.
It's probably the equivalent of having fun in GTA or Carmaggedon running over people but in IRL being disgusted for people that actually do those things.
