Doesn't matter to me.
I like them both.

You can have great renders in both but if the story sucks then both are a waste of renders.

Some honey select games are godd but my choice in DAZ

It always depends on individual work. You can make gold and crap in both.

Doesn't really matter for me. Though good Honey Select games are really rare. Like Eternum is probably the best looking Honey Select 2 game I've seen. With The Inn being the best for Honey Select 1.
Artwise when it comes to bushes tho, Honey Select actually does it better since they don't look like they've just been pasted over.

How to recognize each? Do the games or their threads specify the engines they are using?

For instance, I assume all of these games are DAZ: Radiant, Being a DIK, Dual Family, Such a Sharp Pain, Proud Father and Parental Love.

While games like Polarity, The Headmaster and Once Upon a Lifetime are Honey Select.

Apparently Daz3 gives a more realistic picture.
And as a rule, you can immediately see which engine is used.

I think overall, I've liked more games that are tagged as using daz, but I have been around enough 3d modeling communities to know that the artist's talent & experience with a given tech are the primary factors for good artwork.

I've played too much with Honey Select to enjoy the style any more.

Bad daz looks like horrendous monstrosities, HS, at its worst, will be unremarkable, if very same facey. But a person that really tries can do really good things in HS, something I've yet to see in daz. Having in built animations also helps

I started playing honey games in flash, but now I practically only play things made in Daz

HS looks wrong most of the times. only some HS games look good or alright. Depravity is one of them.

From my understanding, Daz has a higher skill floor, so you don't get quite the same low-effort garbage, but either can give good results

Daz3D all the way. It can be done well or badly. Never seen HS done really well. (That said, if the story and situations are great, the art is less important)

Definitely DAZ way over HS.
I find HS models kind of soulless.
