It's become my habit now to look over a website's rules. Otherwise you will see a must-read post something along the lines of "Since people can't read the rules, we have to [insert new procedure here]."

No, because it's probably the same "cover our ass" rules that almost all websites have. Even illegal sites have rules posted, which I find to be absolutely adorable. I'm not a game dev nor an artist, and I don't particularly care to get into digital skirmishes. So I pretty much don't need to read the rules as far as behavior goes.

This rule is in place to prevent spam. This site also got into trouble with the host from those reporting us. So, in order to prevent reports, we have to prevent spam. Which includes Low Effort posts. Needs to actually have meaning. Otherwise, we honestly don't care.

I had to read them just to understand what was going on with the restricted sections of the forum so yes. But even if I didn't or I forget half of what I read that shouldn't be a problem because as a general rule if you don't act like an idiot for no reason usually that's enough to avoid trouble in most places.
