Has a minigame ever made anyone like a game more?

Happy Summer had a game within the game that was more rewarding at the it was introduced.

Since i was a kid i always like the fishing minigames.
Whatever game that has one, i could probably like it.

Most of the time, they are just annoying, especially if they block you for continuing your game.
 
I'll file that question under "Things that will never happen".
 
Huniepop's majority of the gameplay was match 3 but even though it's not really a minigame it made the game entertaining
 
The card games in the witcher, ff8 and that pokemon casino one of finding the number in each row
 
Never, I love the Treasures of Nadia Trilogy but hate the puzzles and mini games in those… FFS!
 
They must be optional and they have to make sense within the lore and the mechanics of the game. So 95% of the time they're a massive annoyance, they're for bloat, vanity, or other dubious reasons.
