I think that bush lovers are simply afraid of the sight of pussy or don't like them for some reason (usually childhood trauma).

Honestly the pubes themselves can tell a lot about the character. Sometimes it is appropriate to show pubes as an indicator that this person is all natural or alternatively they are old/awkward and weren't suspecting intimacy. Trimmed and styled can show the character is meticulous, while shaved can indicate youth or someone holding onto youth. So I guess my favorite is the kind that fits the character.
