Depends on the character and such. But I actually prefer for them to have it since they won't look like barbie dolls specially since on most VNs, everyone is shaved and there's no variety. And probably because in Japan, it's usually the norm to actually have them that's why I developed a preference for it.

Presence or absence of pubic hair should fit the character... Not everyone will have no hair, not everyone will have large bushes, but the (porn induced?) idea that the natural look is hairless and all the rest is abomination is at least misguided, and certainly does not fit some characters depiction (e.g. you have a 30yo bible thumping spinster as a love interest and you are going to believe she shaves completely?).

Of course, for certain cultures it is common to shave, but no cultural norm is followed 100%, and the "natural" look for humans is hairy...

depends on the character. i tend to have the choices be based on what would look best on them. Most of the time, older characters would have some hair normally(no time for to shave) where as younger ones would either be bare or shaven
i tend to stick to little to no hair
