I never met a real bush that was shaved, except for a brief period when my wife tried it about 10 years ago. I am 68. So, for the most part, I prefer some of the females to have hair down there.

A few years ago, VNs using Daz usually skipped hair because of memory limitations. All those strands added up to a lot of polygons and also cast shadows (affecting light calculations). In general, the render times were much longer when adding pubic hair.

Not as big a deal now unless a dev has a relatively weak GPU.
