I have messed with some For diffusion ie AI Art I use InvokeAI with various diffusers, and for LLM I have LM Studio with various llms installed.

I just use stable diffusion and comfyUI for art, don't have any local LLM's yet. Are they as heavy on the GPU as stable diffusion?

I use NovelAI for the writing and then they added image generation so it only became more worth it. I used to use AI Dungeon but then they had a data leak and everyone's stories got out, plus they changed their policy and started reading anyone's writing that had anything they deemed inappropriate. Basically if your story mentioned any age or words like "young" or "teen" in any context it was blocked and possibly read by staff. NovelAI stores your stories locally so they're secure and they have no policy about what you can or can't write.

I occasionally use (the free version of) gpt chat for work, it definitely won't replace me in the near future, but as a work tool it helps me when I'm stuck

Nothing for art though using it for memo creation and technical writing. It cuts out so much time writing filler, really incredible. That said I simultaneously understand I'm feeding the same AI machine that will likely rise one day to challenge humanity. I'm conflicted to say the least
