I !!!HATE!!! grinding. If its an ongoing story, character development or a side story, then thats not so bad. But if its just grinding stats for the sake of grinding, I'm out

Depends on mood & game setting imo.
Like I'm fine w/ grinding in Rewind (time loop), but not so much for something like.... Cohabitation (where you needa play the scenes a number of times).

Neither.

Games that get straight to the sex scenes kinda defeat the purpose of it being a game.
On the other hand games that require grinding mechanics, or a crap tonne of clicks to get through a wall of script texts, specially if it result in short un animated or poorly animated scenes, make it equally unappealing.

A good balance in the middle works best. Im still new to AVNs but my 2 good examples would be Fetish Locator , and Lust Theory. both have good enough pacing , good enough animations and scenes, and a good enough story and not to much dialog but enough to matter.

Pfft, if I wanted a grind, I'd whip out my old school JRPG collection. For AVNs? Nah man, bring on the fuqin! No shade to the slow burn lovers, though. (y)

depend, if the game is a visual one, i prefer the direct aproach, if the game give you escenes and advance during grinding i dont have problem with a little grinding

So grinding CAN have some upsides, it makes things feel more earned because you have to put in more time and effort, and it helps with the issue some games have where you meet a new character and in the same day you do all of their events and get married (or whatever the most extreme form of sex is in that game). The grind aspect can help slow down things and make the pacing seem more natural, but the emphasis there is very heavily on the word 'CAN'. More often than not adding a grind just makes me install a universal cheat mod to change the numbers behind the scenes so I can skip the grind. I personally think it's much better to have it straight to the point if it's between needless grind and just getting right to the porn. That being said, as a story lover in porn games I fully swear by adding extra story content in between sex events/scenes to slow things down in a more natural and engaging way. The time block system you see in some games CAN be annoying, but I think it does a better job of helping with that in world consistency, IE you can only speak to this person during the noon time block, or you can only start this event on Tuesday at noon.

If it has a great story, then a slow burn is the best. I hate when they try to act like the MC is a nice person so the vices are okay. That to me is just a waste of grind. AWAM is an example of that. She is only helping her son masturbate for his health or undressing and letting those three brats feel her up to help their education. Get real. If they make it where everyone knows it will have consequences but finally give in, makes the wait worthwhile.

Once in a while, getting to the point quickly can be appealing as well. Especially when playing it with your partner. Such as "Dumb Koala" games or "Blended Family." It really depends on the game and the mood of who is playing it.

It depends on who the creator is. If it's just a porn game with no story the straight to the point. If it has story, then I don't mind the grind.

I hate both grinding and slow burn. There really should be a tag or warning for either.

I hate pointless grinding that you need to grind to move to the next level.

Example: You have to constantly finish all duties, talk with Character, go home and sleep, rinse and repeat to move to next level

Grind of course

If i want to see sex i would just find videos on the internet

both?

I prefer games that have some build up but once they get going I want constant scenes.

I don't want to wait an hour of reading before I see anything sexual (you know why were here)

My favorite games are the ones with a good, slow story, with a decent payoff

Well, maybe not "straight to the point" but unneeded grind and repetition is just fng anoying.

It depends on how the game makes you grind sometimes it’s a really annoying mini game
