Games straight to point or games you have to grind?

Depends on mood and game quality. Definitely don't mind the grind if the dev put a solid amount of thought and effort into the product. Bonus points for freedom of play.

I have to agree with so many others, a mixture I like a little play but hate if you never seem to get anywhere

Somewhere in between for me.

Straight to the point every time.

If I wanted to grind tons of actions and words, use up money then have the Love Interest go "Nope. Not interested in sex yet." I'd date IRL.

"Why not just surf porn?" Because I prefer the visuals of 3d (they can be flawless for example) and the "story" content / setup is getting rarer and rarer on IRL porn sites. (Every 10 seconds, or so it feels: "Step. Step! We're not related!! I'm on the pill!!! STEP!!!!"... a few more minutes of sex... then loop the dialogue)

EDIT = Oh, and FUCK delayed gratification... for me at least. I want cake and booze every day if I can afford it...)

Hey,
what type of games do you prefer?
I can't really make up my mind about that topic.
Sometimes I like when you don't have to do anything at all to get to the lewd scenes in games and other times I like when you have to work for your pleasure. It feels more satisfying then for me.
Two of my favorite games are OSiL and Bernd and the mystery from Unteraltenbach.
OSiL is really straight forward and a pleasure to play but for Bernd to get the girls he likes you have to work hard and fight through numerous Game Over screens if you messed it up.
But if you finally hook up with the girl, the excitement is even bigger for me.
So, a quick fap or pleasent anticipation? What do you think?
depends on how grind and how the games is done

I think I'd lean more towards games that go straight to the point (especially if you are only in to rub one out)
But I can also appreciate the dedication and reward that comes with the grinding in certain games.

I don't mind the grind when it looks like to you are actually making some progressive. It can be frustrating when one begins to wonder if the game is glitched

If there's not some kind of grind, I'm probably not gonna play. I live for the payoff, and when it's just "wham bam", I lose interest fast. There's a limit to the grind, though, and I'll just as soon quit a game when it's going nowhere fast.

Grinding with the same nonstop repetition leading to little or no reward is vile.

Grinding that actually carries meaning and allows me to enjoy the what the game offers is great.

I prefer mostly not to grind, but the mood does occasionally present itself.

Grind because I like the payoff, but it has to be reasonable.

I'm not fond of VN with just a few choices without consequences.

I think it depends on what type of game it is and what the grind looks like. Some of the most successful adult games are management games, like managing a brothel, where grind is the game. But if you need to press on the same routine 50 times in a row to get something (wake up-shower-go to school-spy on family-sleep), then just no. Add useless sandbox that contains nothing and you have a recipe for disaster.

I'm looking for balance, where quest is not too long or short but with good reward as scene/art

I like games with a good story, like Bernd and the mystery of unteralterbach. That's not grind for me. But I agree that it's very satisfying.

always straigh to the point games, But sometimes there are sandbox games that are fun to play

games that make you grind for the bare minimum are the worst, only worth grinding if you actually get something out of it and it doesnt take an insanely long time

depends on the game trainers need to have a nice flow to reach the end goals to fast is boring to long is frustrating and annoying

I think balance is the key. If there is no effort, there is no satisfaction. However, prolonged grind is tedious. I like games where the protagonist must raise stats or meet requirements to unlock a scene.
