I whole-heartedly recommend "Katawa Shoujo", the game is free and can be played as SFW or NSFW. It is a romance based VN, The character are compelling as is the story and I can assure you that the waifu-wars where-in fact raging back in the day on their forums.
"God Hand" for the PS2 is an amazing and fun beat'em'up brawler game with an extremely detailed combo and move-set, It was panned by critics and I don't believe it sold well and afaik it hasn't been ported off the ps2 so you're best bet is to engage in the high seas for it.
The persona games are a fun romp if you don't mind the heavy JRPG grind in the first 3 games and the more dating sim lite aspects that got added in "Persona 3" and carried throughout the rest of the games.
"Legend of Dragoon" is one of the best RPGS on the PS1, a good story, amazing OST, and a rather difficult QTE combo/damage-boost to your attacks and super moves that all combine into an amazing experience from disk 1 all the way to the end.

Futagenesis Unveiled
This is the only one that I've been keeping an eye that has a Futa protagonist but it seems to have gotten stalled due to real life issues.
The story is still fairly early on, still introducing characters and such, however when I played is late last year and the characters models were decent and had actual puzzles in the game that were decently challenging.

Panacea
This one is complete, it has a fairly generic story with some twists, but I like the character interactions and there are some various choices for some characters to adjust kinks a bit if I remember correctly, its been over a year since I've played it. However, it is one I remember.

All VN's suck, except one: Teaching Feelings.I'll say it again, picking one game or another is very, very subjective. If the Being a DIK part of my attitude can be explained by the specifics of my job (I teach structural mechanics and elasticity theory at the local University) and I have developed an allergy to students, which is why I avoid all games related to student life, be it universities or colleges, but the fact that I abandoned Summertime Saga at the end of 2019 and don't plan to return to it is explained by something else entirely. What stressed me out about the game was the appearance of “cows” (in every sense of the word) and mermaids. It's just not my fetish.
So we all have our own cockroaches in our heads
What about Acting Lessons - I love this game (or rather, VN).
Making a couple of nude images + walls of text isn't a good sign for a game, rather a useless clicker

They've released a couple pretty big updates lately for Cho and Luna. Right now they're focusing on revamping and updating the UI, so once that happens it might be worth another look
