I keep hearing good things about it and I keep being put off by how ugly some of the characters are. Is it worth trying?

Honestly, I was a bit off-put by the dialogue. It's like creepy in a too-real way rather than a stupid porn game way. It also gets really really verbose.

Overall Heroes Harem Guild is a grind game like all games, not a VN or KN. What I found different about HHG is that it has interesting writing and the interactions are not filled with empty options. When looking at game play, the entirety of my hours spent were not considered wasted, and the thrown in humor kept me wanting to read the text a lot more than most of the VNs I play.


Sandbox is not something I enjoy, but there are a few games that make sandboxing an element that works. Games like The Raven and My Early Life are grind games that I want to like, but can't get into because I really don't want to spend the time in a boring grind with no direction of what leads to the next event. HHG lays out hints and directions in good enough detail to keep the game flowing to not frustrate the user. Desert Stalker also does this well enough to keep me watching for new releases.

Checked this one, unfortunately this is koikatsu game... Maybe devs throw all forces into good gameplay because they know this art is super weak, unfapable for me.

Bones Tales:The Manor (dev is milker so have no hope into this game future)

Red Lucy - great 3d visuals but development slowed down last year, maybe becoming milking.
Five of a Kind - this has style of oldschool point-and-click quest, made with soul.

Afterglow - this game is abandoned but it has BEST AND REALISTIC story and best relationship build-up for M/S game. You should check this.

Is Rance grindy? I think so. It's probably my favorite game series of all time, even if it didn't have H-content.

In terms of favorite grindy non-h game... Persona 3 Reload has felt really grindy in comparison to Persona 5. I love the game, but the dungeon crawler aspect burns me out a lot.

I LOVED ecchi sensei, and I grew attached to the characters, I felt like I actually had daughters, but unfortunately it was abandoned. It was a fun story though.

I have heard that it's a bit too real for some. And then I see that one GIF of the one sister spanking the other and I get tempted again
