The adult content is intrinsic to the gameplay, like Karryn's Prison.

  • What style of 3d is your favorite? 1st/3rd person? Top-down?
    • I prefer first person, easier for me to get into the role but a toggle for the third person is a nice feature. I played a ton of isometric games back in the day.
  • Do you enjoy in-depth inventory systems? Crafting? What style of inventory management is your favorite (list-based, icon-based, sort-ability, aesthetics?)
    • I love crafting in games most games crafting is not deep enough tho. As for inventory, I prefer a list with a 3d model of the item I am looking at like Skyui for Skyrim.
  • Do you prefer the freedom to control the pace of the game on your own, or do you like to follow a predestined route? Are you the "god mode" kind of player or "just the neighbor dweeb"?
    • Freedom to do whatever, I don't care for time limits of any type, timed events, or time-triggered ending of mission fails because of a time limit.
  • NPC interaction. I am a fan of the "Bethesda style" dialogue options. What style is your favorite? Maybe you like a VN style with no options.
    • I am also a fan of Bethesda style I have thousands of hours in their games, but for Starfield, it needs some major overhaul mods to bring it up to par.
  • High Player Character customization. To me, this is a requirement. What characteristics or sliders are hard requirements for you? Is diverse attire as important?
    • diverse, nay, Needs a tit slider and glute or butt slider. The rest I care not about. As for male characters, I rarely play them. If I am going to be spending hundreds or thousands of hours looking at the back side of a character aka 3rd person it should be a fine-looking backside aka female. If I am playing first person, tho, I don't mind playing a male character.
  • What level of fantasy/ fiction is ideal for you? I'm partial to "life-simulator" style games, maybe with a hint of *magic* sprinkled in.
    • Maybe RPGs, but I play almost anything.
  • Character relation stats. The 10-heart system is overdone.. What stats would you implement to show relationship info between PC and NPC? I like the idea of going in blind, with no meters or percentages.. use your eyes and ears to pick up on cues.
    • I like the heart system. I made one for my own game that is likely never coming out. I have the normal red heart but mine has nipples on top (modeled in blender, rendered in Daz.) and a corrupted black heart covered in cum also nipples on top.
  • PC skill points/ skill tree/ abilities. I've never been a fan of skill tree-style advancement. What are your ideal ways to improve your character?
    • POE has the best skill tree I have ever played in a game. I also like Skyrim and Fallout games perk systems but in Fallout 4 I remove the level caps to unlock skills that is just a stupid requirement.
  • Survival. I love a good survival game. What survival game mechanics do you enjoy? Constantly on the run? Scavenging everything imaginable? Building shelter? What games have the best building mechanics?
    • hungry, thirsty, and sleep, for the basics.
    • Scavenging and building/crafting.
    • Fallout 4 and Palword are my favorite building systems.
  • What are the annoyances from open-world games you've played? I hate static meshes that stand out, NPCs with no dialogue, areas of the world blocked off in unrealistic ways, and generally unfinished game assets.
    • Same on all of them. I am not sure what else I could add.
  • Where do you find the sweet spot in the grind? Do you enjoy the satisfaction of making the story as you go? Maybe you like to sit back and let the story come to you. Perhaps you most enjoy a sandbox-style game?
    • Sandbox is my preferred style of gameplay.
  • Game length. In a quality game, do you like a quick play-through? A multi-week grind? What's your ideal session length? Do you come back to games you still need to finish, or do you move on to the next game?
    • For sandbox games I will sometimes play them a week straight with little to no sleep but for adult games, AVN I rarely replay unless the dev has somehow broken saves.
  • Does your ideal gameplay like a movie with some free roam? Cut scenes and cinematics everywhere?
    • I don't like anything to get in the way of the gameplay while cut scenes can be nice, I would prefer not to have them if they are going to interfere with my gameplay, but for adult games, the cut scenes need to be hot the gameplay does not matter as much to me as I am playing it to get off not for its gameplay some time for the story but most stories in porn games are the same or suck.
  • Updates and Versions. I don't like playing a game, only to realize that the game is over after chapter 1 and we have to wait for the next version to post. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I find that I usually never pick that game back up (depending on the game quality). What are your thoughts on that?
    • I rarely play episodic games that are mainstream games for adult games it's different as I am not paying for them most of the time, so I don't mind as much.

my dream game would be like Skyrim mixed with Xcom2 and Dragon Age "Origins", like BG3 but much longer and open world

sboofs here,

I'm an aspiring game developer, currently working on a closed solo project and learning as I go. I am using Unreal Engine and 3d with Maya/blender/daz. I think we all have different tastes, and it's nice to see a fresh opinion every once in a while.

What is your ideal game like? Avoid talking about genre and "on-topic" categories, this post is more geared towards game style and mechanics.
My questions for YOU are as follows:
  • What style of 3d is your favorite? 1st/3rd person? Top down?
  • Do you enjoy in-depth inventory systems? Crafting? What style of inventory management is your favorite (list based, icon based, sort-ability, aesthetics?)

  • Survival. I love a good survival game. What survival game mechanics do you enjoy? Constantly on the run? Scavenging everything imaginable? Building shelter? What games have the best building mechanics?
  • What are annoyances from open world games you've played? I personally hate static meshes that stand out, NPCs with no dialogue, areas of the world blocked off in unrealistic ways, and generally unfinished game assets.
  • Where do you find the sweet spot in the grind? Do you enjoy the satisfaction of making the story as you go? Maybe you like to sit back and let the story come to you? Perhaps you most enjoy a sandbox style game?

  • Updates and Versions. I don't really like playing a game, only to realize that the game is over after chapter 1 and we have to wait for the next version to post. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I find that I usually never pick that game back up (depending on the game quality). What are your thoughts on that?

Again, this is mainly just an inspiration post. I like to hear opinions that I might not be aware of!
As for my project, I'm only in the stages of building charcter assets and some cosmetic meshes. I have a general game story planned, but it's very early in the creative process.

Thanks for commenting!
1st person is always good, cause with 3rd person you have to spend a lot of time looking at your toon and unless the game lets you make a hot girl that can also be a futa or basically male in sex scenes it kinda sucks. so it saves you a lot of work imo cause if you go full 1st person and have like a transparent or hands and dick only character model in sex scenes you can basically skip having to make a character creator and let people imagine it. prolly just need a skin color slider and youre good yeah?

Love a turn based game so I can play at whatever pace I want. Also love a game with good exploration elements.

i hate crafting if its too compley keep it simple and it could be great

crafting, Imbuing/Enchanting, parrying/countering/timed blocks, combos, dodging, and some immersive cinematic effects to really help those qualities pop and feel good when you do them. And let's not forget AI that actually fights back.

I'd love to see a game that generates text and images with AI that you can steer, so you can describe your own characters and personalities, and the game will mix that with controlnet poses etc so you can generate your own erotic adventure.
