Wait, hang on, let me rephrase in case you think this has anything to do with culture war shit. A trans female was born a male. A cis male was born a male. I meant I prefer not to play as anyone born a male regardless of what they identify as now. When I said trans with a penis is male, I was referring to what they were assigned at birth. It doesn't mean I have anything against what they identify as, I just prefer games where the female was female from birth coz it would put me off knowing they were born male. It's just a kink and not political. And I also don't blame you for judging me as It's my fault for phrasing things that way. I've watched 6 seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race and fucking love it. I've got nothing against trans, non binary or queer.

I should have said:

Trans: A trans female, which is mostly the type we see in porn, was BORN MALE. Currently identifies as female and may or may not still have a penis. I didn't refer to a trans male, who was born a female, because there is literally no game with this type of main character (which I would play because they were born female). I avoid the trans tag as the trans protagonist was always assigned male at birth when I checked, but the tag itself refers to both trans male and trans females

Futa: Was BORN FEMALE and was a hermaphrodite initially but started being drawn or rendered with balls, and is ultimately still female

So few people mention that trans underwent a gender transition to be either male or female while futa is always female. And it's for this reason that the 2 tags are completely different things

@Hexborn_Magus @HandholdDegen
Still culture war shit, because biology has demonstrated quite thoroughly that a trans person is born with a brain that is genetically the brain of the sex they identify as. It does not matter what your body is, your brain is who you are. The likely cause of this is the same thing that causes chimera syndrome, which may be related to vanishing twin syndrome.

Discussion over.

You're not fucking someone's brain...

@Xonia
I'm very glad to see futa and trans split into two tags, but you got the definitions a bit wrong, imho. The render style shouldn't have anything to do with it. Instead, it is about the realism of the character/the situation. Basically, trans covers the real-life situation of people being assigned a different gender at birth than they actually have; while futa covers a variety of fantasy reasons leading to a woman with a penis.

For example, my game actually has both: Some women have the magical ability to grow a temporary cock, and some women are born as a boy.

Given that context is important, I hope that you will listen to what dev's have to say on this topic about their own games.
What is your game? I'd be interested in taking a look.

Also, to address the theme of the theme of the thread, there should be a clear separation between the various types of intersex:
- trans: person of a gender transitioning into another gender; the key point being that there was an original binary gender assigned to them and they changed it
- newhalf: woman with a penis and no vagina; key point, they are considered woman from the start and somehow they have the other genitalia
- futanari: woman with both penis and vagina; the word comes from Japanese and it means hermaphrodite.

Some people prefer the clear distinction, just like in case of NTR (not opening that can of worms here).

Some trans get surgery...
Yes, but the surgery won't make you look like a futanari: v
If it says sex change surgery then they should create another tag or subtag like Post op (there you realize that trans had surgery to have a vagina) and there are not many operation games.
There is already a label called gender change: Transformation, it is understood that I changed from cock to vagina.

That's not the same - transformation usually means change to a woman (through magic, superscience, or unkonwn) who can actually get pregnant, etc. I was responding to the one saying that a "trans woman has a penis."

Transgender is very, very different to Futanari in my opinion, one is just a woman with a dick, that being Futanari, but Transgender usually is more unique and nuanced, a character who has come to terms with their gender and often worked towards doing what they believe is the best path for them, outside the physical differences, both are extremely different when it comes to their relevance in the story and personality, one is about what's in the character's pants, and the other about their mentality, this isn't to say a futa story can't be interesting, but it is usually a minor detail in relevance, if the two are to be split, it should be based on that, the deciding factor being gender and how it affects the character.

If I enter a game with the title Futa or Futanari, I expect a Futanari futa with a vagina and penis and who can preferably play the active and passive role, but many developers only put Futa in the title and put Trans in the game, they define themselves as Trans and play the gender role exclusively as a Man. I love a Trans and futa but who does not have masculine behavior.

First, we should think about the main role of the Tags, what their main objective is. I think the focus has been lost, I do not think they were made to convey the feelings of the imaginary character or please groups or developers. So helping users find their preferences, creating misleading tags only harms their function.

The vast majority have already said that they expect to find someone with a Futa Tag = woman with a vagina and penis and that is what the Tag should represent. Putting something different from that just confuses the forum.
