I have friends who are, and while I am not one personally, I have no issues with them in general. I imagine most of the derision people have is just the general distaste people have for outside subcultures. I'm willing to watch furry porn, like with the suits, and things like it, but I've never gone out of my way to look for it myself. So generally positive I'd say.

Furry is one of those tags that had potential but shit devs really fucked it and turned everyone away from it turning it into what is basically compartmentalized fans where the games only hit certain tags and never branch but then even the tags they hit they pretty much always hit those tags the same way. It's the same story told a different way with characters with different names usually many personalities will even overlap with the characters.
