In some cases I might agree that this is a pirate site and that you shouldn't wait to post.
But this is definitely not one of those cases, for the simple fact that Gadgeteer participates in the thread, and gives information, and that's enough for me, then it could make us wait even a few months.
There are other devs, who like this one have created their own thread, where others are not allowed to update, and they never show up even to say hello.

lol love this game and more than happy to wait for the public release i would support sadly im a broke motherfucker but gadgeteer mate dont worry about the morons they will eventually learn a hard lesson and thanks for bringing something amazing to the rest of us

Sometimes I wonder if patience still even exists anymore. I know of no AVN here that has no eventual public/free version and it won't kill anyone for them to wait an extra month or whatever if they can't afford to sub to get it early. Personally I just stay busy with something else and then it doesn't even feel like waiting. Just don't keep the next update in the front of your mind like it's nearing xmas or something.

well there are some titles i found in 95 that has like very long wait time... usually that kind of games is the one where it use delayed version not delayed time, which can be very long because well... development of game is long and hard... and the worst (in my personal opinion) is keeping 3 or more version behind which mean it is up to 2, 3 or even worse more months between paid version and public version and not to forget massive difference in version between newest and free/public
well i feel alright if it in like normal sharing place like itch or patreon or others because that is the place where the devs work (making money) and/or fans supports... but 95 and this site is also piracy place right... i can stand waiting up to a month, but more than that and especially if it delayed version... tbh idk... but well unfortunately things cant be easy and free huh... such is reality, everything has a cost to have/exist (worst example is life need another life to live)... mannn existence is really no fun
ah idk about how the state of this game update and i dont really want to find out because i dont really want to get depressed by it if it 'not good'... well at least the dev is active(?) here, and btw dev, great work, this avn is good

In those cases (1-3 versions behind for public) I just forget about it and do something else until completed in 3-10 years, though most of the time it will be abandoned before that point anyway due to leaking (few things are more annoying to me than a story that is never finished, if it was good enough to care about in the first place). In general if updates are a year apart I forget the AVN even exists, nevermind what the characters were doing.

Even if this is a pirate site, there is nothing heroic to leak a game here. Pay some respect to the devs who are kind enough to share public versions with all the fans who cannot afford it to support them financially.

You're right, it is dumb. Really dumb. Good VNs are hard to find as it is, and it will be even harder if we alienate them or make it tough for them to earn a living.

Great news! There is really some speed now when it comes to the updates, feels like it was just updated the other week or so. Fantastic!
