You should have seen the list of things the gov't seized as "proceeds of crime". Like 4 new cars, a boat (no pic but more like small yacht fits the description), all his PC gear, among other things. Prob 1-1.5 mil worth of stuff. When Seath made him a character in The Guardian it wasn't 100% made up as far as him being rich, though billionaire-level was exaggerated. As far as the taxes pretty sure if they don't legally have to do it then they won't. They prob just keep their fees and send you the rest when your balance reaches a minimum and don't bother with things like withholding or paying the taxes. And if they won't then it's the creator's responsibility/problem. And yeah if I'm making bank like that illegally I sure as fuck wouldn't trust anyone, I'd be like Pablo Escobar and assume everyone was a snitch as far as trusting people with info that could end me, esp SS, I certainly wouldn't have used my real ID to open the bank account I used to get paid from them. And least of all some gf, one bad argument/breakup and she takes what she knows and ruins you to get even. It's like that one idiot that killed that guy scheduled to speak at that university in Utah. The dumbass confessed/bragged to one of his so-called family members who then snitched after the feds offered $100k reward. Had he kept his mouth shut he might have gotten away with it, or at least stayed on the lam for far longer.- 350k? Its hard to believe that VN, let alone AVN, let alone AVN with lolies can generate revenue like that. If this is true, than most probably Westy's persecution had nothing to do with his "spare time activities" at all.
But, as i said, in second case guy alleged that his than GF snitched on him to police. So he got in pretty real problems with authorities and by his words risked to get in to the SO list. Things like that can destroy any kind of desire to do anything and alert other creators and even potential creators. Lolies are risky business.
- well, it depends many factors, from state of current relations to... well... acceptance of other person flaws/kinks/traits etc. Not everyone are willing to accept hardcore kinks, even if said kinks dont spill out to real world.
- than it makes no sense ( to me ), shouldnt SS cover taxation in that case? I thought that crowdfunding sites do that for their clients.
