It's okay-ish. The main games are WAY better.

(Fallout 1 and 2 are amazing btw, new gen writers could learn a thing or two about storytelling and character development there)

Then again, nowadays, okay-ish big productions are pretty much a masterpiece, especially regarding blockbusters and AAA games -- western ones anyway.

I never got into the games, maybe one day. The show is decent, I don't know much about it previously, so I find it a good watch, currently at Ep 6.

The fallout series, imo, is the best video game to TV franchise ever done. You don't have to be completely familiar with the games, but it's probably more enjoyable if you are. There are easter eggs everywhere... From items in the environment to the "hello, vault tech calling" on the telephone. There were a few things that happened in the show that never happened in the game, but it was all things that could have happened.

Don't bother that new update being pushed out this week breaks most mods and your old saves once again.

Anyway I highly recommend Sims settlements.
Quick tip, set your game to never update and launch by mod manger. Play the game- or coom/play. While everything updates.:bndr0029:

What are some great mods to enhance a “gooner” play through of Fallout 4. No content is taboo enough so go nut(s).
Well I can help
Go on lovers lab for sex framework, leto animatiations the best ones.
You are going to have to learn how to use outfit studieo and bodybuilder. Youtube has some great people for that.
For the banned gooner mods go on allthefallenmoe
For other banned mods go on based mods not that many mods on here btw
You can also be lazy and download wabbajack and go to fallout 4 collections, be signed in to view nudity.
Skyrim has more sex modes btw.

As a person who has played most of the Fallout games, I have been more than satisfied with the series.
And there are many references to all the games in the Fallout saga.
9/10

So is it worth watching when one had no desire in playing any of the games?

I honestly wasn't expecting it to be so good. One of the advantages of low expectation I suppose.

If I hadn't played FO4 October last year, I would've downloaded the game already. Perhaps I should download NV instead.

I was so surprised how good it was, definitely one of the best video game film/TV adaptations ever made.

It was definitely better than I was expecting.
Though I am can't say I was a big fan of the Vault 33 overseer nuking Shady Sands In a fit of jealous rage definitely because he was mad they restarted civilization in the area before "Bud's Buds" could. Though I will admit, if any vault had the ability, it would be a vault filled with cryogenically frozen Vault-Tec employees. .

It was a bit insane how much of an impact it had on the active player count for the games (ON Steam, Fallout New Vegas went from an average of 5-6K per day to 30-445k per day, and Fallout 4 went 18-20k, to over 100k).
And the downloaded mods spikes for the games were also pretty impressive…
5-6 million a week to 40 million the week after the show came out:

( , you can view states for other games by changing the "Fallout4" part of the url to match the url used for the game)
All the Fallout games saw a similar (relatively sized) spike.

If you haven't updated to the "next gen" update yet, or if (hopefully when) the mod author updates: is basically a requirement if you want to spend any time in the settlement building portion of the game.

The variety is great.
You have to specify what kind of modifications you want.
In my case, I have years of playing FNV, F3 and F4 with mods. On a few occasions I have given up and gone back to make a new list of mods, because of crash, lag, etc. problems.
And I've learned, that it's not just about installing mods like you're crazy. Patience and reading the descriptions is important, otherwise it will screw up your game and games. That's a tip, nothing more.
In my case, the mods I'm looking for the most are:
1. skill upgrades and perk.
2. Improve combat.
3. Improve the artificial intelligence.
4. Fixes, improvements and bug fixes for the base game (e.g. Fallout 4 unofficial patch).
5. An overhaul of weapons, armor and workshops.
6. Texture improvements, preferably 1k - 2k.
7. Weather improvements (e.g. NAC-X legacy).
8. Improvements to the human body, skin, etc. (you have an endless number of mods to improve it).
9. Improve interface, UI (e.g. Fallui mods)
10. And last but not least, mods for adults. They come in all colors and flavors. Lolis, Milfs, Animals, Sex, Gore, Sexy, Lascivious, etc. <------------- (The latter is not much of my interest, for that there are games for that purpose.)

In my case, I try that the mods are the most faithful to the world of fallout and do not break its theme.

i really liked that series, it´s nice to see that they at least looked at the game before making the tv-series.

🧠 I avoid it because its probably good. Thats because If I like it I would probably want to dive into the Fallout games just then to be disappointed.
The Fallout games are great. Fallout I and II are outdated and I would not recommend playing them nowadays (they were great when they came out though) but all the other Fallout games still hold up pretty well. And they have tons of good/very good mods.
