Today I'm going to start watching it, I hope that as a fan of the Fallout games I like it.

Some speculation on whether Mr. House is gonna make an appearance. He is a very compelling character so it would be a cool thing to see

very good , it makes me play Fallout NV , Then i download it , then i got lazy , then i delete it , whats wrong with me

Its not a bad show but anytime Lucy is on screen, she just has... larger than normal eyes that look like they are bulging every so slightly and it triggers a fight or flight response to me, like uncanny valley does. She looks like the live action movie battle angel alita main character.

Cooper > Norm > Lucy > Maximus when it comes to overall character and stories.

Cooper is easy mode since he not only has a very impressive actor - Goggins - but he has the benefit of portraying two roles essentially - The Ghoul and Howard Cooper the actor. His pre-war scenes are kind've like Mad Men, and have their own little dash of intrigue within them. That being said, the final Pre-War scene in the show also knocks down Mr House and serves as one of the larger retcons in Fallout canon, but that doesn't affect his overall quality. Since Lucy leaves with him at the end of the season, it'd be nice to see the past 200 years from his perspective with maybe some insight into other Fallout stuff. I wouldn't even mind if we got a quick and dirty summary of Fallout 2 from him if it ties into an explanation of the Enclave.

Norm (Lucy's brother) is probably the most grounded performance in the show. Cooper's over the topness, Lucy's insane naivety and Maximus being a bumblefuck makes Norm's lack of quirkiness a breath of fresh air. Whilst the overall pay off to the Vault intrigue storyline is the result of a rather stupid reveal in the finale, getting there was worthwhile. I hope to see more of him in season 2.

Lucy is very 'meh', and is typically surrounded by characters who carry the scene she's in. She somehow keeps onto her bubbly naive demeanour for most of the show, which contrasts to both the situations she goes through and Norm's comparative development as the season went on. I know she's meant to be an audience surrogate but since she learns so little herself and she doesn't approach things realistically, it's hard to identify with her. It's also hard to create a 'naive bubbly girl' character, but have her so eager to fuck that doesn't care there's an uncovered window in the room (The scene where she's in quarantine with Maximus)

Maximus is an hypocritical idiot who murders two people and makes no effort to personally aspire to that which he idolises himself unless he's pressured by others. His romance with Lucy also wasn't earnt and I hope they can it before too long. Ironically despite being a worse character than Lucy, he also tends to carry the scenes the pair are in. I also can't tell if his actor is good or not. I'm leaning towards the former, which makes the fact he's portraying such an unlikable asshole even worse. If in season 2 he becomes more like the brotherhood Knight he wishes to embody, there could be something there. A sort of redemption. Otherwise, bleh.

I'm waiting until the "honeymoon" phase is over and people take a second look at the series, but the fact that people think it's actually pretty good rather than being mad is somewhat encouraging.

A great show, but it will be a shame when the next season is abandoned (be it season 2, 3, or...) since episodes like the season (and probably subsequent ones) do not conclude but leave you waiting for what follows.

I think it is a very bad show with nonsensical plot and dumb people with a drab of those massive coincidences that get very annoying

Watched it all one weekend. I liked it, even though I never really got into the games.

Nice series, ok acting, a bit disappointing overall but it was fun to watch. 6.5 out of 10

Does the show follow the game accurately
People who know the lore say it doesn't, from some of the reviews by people who know about lore say they move places, other important places destroyed, important characters and groups motive changes such as the Brotherhood of Steel basically been turn into the Enclave, Power Armor now fly like Iron Man, Ghoul now can't be killed unless shot in the head and need drug to stay normal rather than Radiation rot their brain and turning them feral. That was just some stuff I heard about the lore change.

Nope. Not gonna.

🧠 I avoid it because its probably good. Thats because If I like it I would probably want to dive into the Fallout games just then to be disappointed.

Don't like the portrayal of BoS in the tv series. And also this ghouls serum thingy is weird addition.

I would have watched it even if they lore was not 100 percent the same but hearing how people who dislike the lore change get attacked has turn me off from it.
