I wish I was naïve enough to believe everything I was told with 0 proof. I do not take some screenshots as proof of said story. In fact just about everyone uses the same DAZ assets with tweaks. So the radio silence makes this appear to be the ultimate troll jus sayin. It takes all of 2 minutes to post and say everything is still on track we are just making sure the quality is there for the first release. Since nothing has been said feels like we been played. Reality Bites.

I wouldn't agree he was lying. Ketzal's style is very particular. If all DAZ VNs looked as remotely as good as EGBE or as SSP I would not even consider playing a VN with graphics made with HS2 or VAM. However, even if DG did buy the assets and the story it is quite likely that they just regretted the decision of remaking this game. 15 pages of this thread show just how much a person has to deal with in order to participate as a developer in the 3D smol community. We also don't know where DG is from, so maybe they got in legal trouble for having such assets in their computer. We also don't know if maybe DG hasn't finished the demo and doesn't want to show up until they do. It is also likely that maybe they just want to get more than just the alpha done before releasing it. My take is that they probably just jumped ship.

I don't think he was exactly a good storyteller. Personally, I didn't like the intricacies of SSP family dynamics. A lot of it is just power fantasy for smol-lovers, no grittiness, no depth, only either this whole cast of girls already wants to fuck you or they do anyways but they haven't realized.

What you wanna play a game with no plot and no conflict where everyone sings kumbaya? You can find plenty of them online that. Also a game can't be considered vanilla if things like "drama" and "corruption" are in it. That defeats the argument entirely. Complex or otherwise, there is nothing that validates that point.
