Yea it fucking sucks. It seems like he still wants to make games he will just not make them with those characters. So we might see him in the fututre under a new name on f95 or maybe even here.

He pretty much lost 4 years of hard work. If the plan for him is to rebrand, I don't think he will want to have anything to do with his older games. It sucks, but he will probably not want to take any risks.

He'll prob just run with SMTL, maybe, even though it's just yet another college AVN, esp if he removes the incest and puts it on Patreon with the other crap already there.

Yea that is probably what he will do. He was already working on it so he can probably release something soon. For patreon he could just do the good old incest patch and the game would be fine there. Patreon is still full of those games with patches.

At least his hard drive didn't die with no backup, so he didn't really lose it. He just had to find yet another work-around. What I find puzzling is he's giving up even after leaving his original country just because a payment account and Discord were canceled, which makes this even more shocking and unexpected. I mean so what? Make new ones with 3 or 4 in reserve for backups, and keep gatling gunning them with an automated script if necessary. He should have seen that would be par for the course and probably half the work of making an AVN for a loli dev if he had to change countries to do it.

I mean his SS is also shadowbanned which means he can't get new subs. And even if he gets it back, it's just a matter of time until some shit happens again and it gets shadown banned again. Look at what happened with the dev of family faring. Dude remade the game, showed the new characters to the staff on SS, they approved it and his page still keeps getting shadowbanned. It reaches a point that people just get tired of fighting.
He did all he could, like you said he even moved to another country, but at the end of the day he needs to earn a living and right now these types of games are just too risky.

I would love to have your optimism. I think or at least hope that we will see him again under a different name. He was also working on SMTL so he could just release that. Dude is too talented to stop making games. But I think this is it for both EGBE and SSP.

Just like Nastastic said, giving Ketzal time is the right thing to do.

I know it sucks for everyone here or on any other forums but above all, it sucks the biggest for Ketzal.
Imagine spending 4-5 years of your life building, creating, and imagining what you love only to be shot down by other people or organizations who don't share the same perspective as you.

That's gotta hurt, real hard.

He has also deleted his account here so the best thing to do is wait.

I have no idea what his finances look like but i was under the impression that most of his pledges were from subscribestar anyway so nothing really happened on that front as far as i know.
Isn't the shadowban on subscribestar something you can just get around by using that url with /subscribe at the end? And it should only be a problem for new subs anyway

Nope, I tried that and it doesn't work. With his page shadownbanned he can't get new subs. Could he survive with the current number of subs if the page was kept shadowbanned? Probably but the issues on SS with people not being able to subscribe and getting their cards declined has been increasing a lot lately. I think that was one of the reasons why he tried using mee6 as a payment method. There were people that used to sub to him but started having issues with SS declining their card and they didn't have any other way to support him.

Not yet at least. I guess once this and SSP get marked abandoned in 18 months that is when hope dies.

Edit: or 18 hours for that dreaded orange tag. I guess hope is now dead. I'm gonna go cry in a corner now.

why not just close the shadow banned SS acount and open a new one under a new dev name? That's what I would do, even if I had to get a fake ID in real life and a new bank account with it.

I mean he could do that but he would eventually run into the same problems. You also have the problem of SS taking a long time to approve pages. So he is pretty much fucked right now. Also I am pretty sure that part of the agreement he made with SS the last time he got shadowbanned was that he wouldn't post any download links for SSP or EGBE on there. So without his discord he doesn't have any place to drop the links for the different tiers.
He really doesn't have many options right now. So even though I really loved SSP, I think his best move is to just rebrand, release a safer game and move to a more user friendly platform(in terms of payments) like patreon.
