one of the other dev's that makes fucking awesome games waits 7 days for public release.Yeah. It's just bad form to leak if the dev is just going to let everyone have it in a month anyway IMHO. I don't feel bad at all for the ones who never offer a public version, or who make you wait for something like a half a year to get it, but when they're nice enough to offer it after a short wait like Ketzal here I'm more than willing to play along. Even though the wait IS killing me in this particular case.
games collectively are a multi-billion dollar industry... They're bigger than any other entertainment sector in the world and it's not even close s it is no shock that one guy s making that much.if just the programmer made 80k in a month, how much total was made ??
the amounts some devs make is insane, like the guy in Australia, $800,000 in cash he had with no mention about bank or crypto accounts.

i gotta learn how to get chatgpt to do my programming for me lol
That's one lucky guy. Most visual novel developers don't even cover their electricity bill. That's why so many abandon their games. I've seen quite famous European VN making just 1500-2000 euro a month. Other good ones 100-150 Euro/month. That's a really low income. A few developers have success, the mass basically works for free.games collectively are a multi-billion dollar industry... Timing is also a huge factor. Give people what they want and they will come in legions. In PF's case that was lolis and incest with a decent story. Plus Westy knew how to market his AVN at a time it was far easier to do so on many sites. These days it would be banned on most of them thanks to a bunch of whining Karens and the morons that listen to them. He did have 4000+ paying subs on SS at the peak, these days SS would ban him (and his arrest probably drew scrutiny from various assholes like Mastercard since the loli purge happened barely a year after). Loli devs are now pretty much in an uphill battle to monetize their wares with some extraordinary steps like making their own page with crypto wallet and personal bank account number links or, more commonly like Ketzal now does, staying on prude platforms and doubling their workload by making a shitty front project they likely have no interest in making to subsidize the one advertised offsite on the few sites like here that people actually want. These days relatively no one gives a shit about vanilla AVNs since vanilla porn can be had for free with the bonus of being either prAI or real actors rather than 3D cartoons. The few that do seem to make money with the usual MC stuck in a college and fucking random coeds (eg Being A DIK, which is not at all special to me, ignored the last 2 annual updates) probably just reinvested their earnings in marketing so made hardly anything net income wise. As you said the lion's share of those billions are from companies that are already multibillionaires that make actual games with $100M budgets (Sony, Nintendo, Rock Star, etc). AVNs make peanuts and the way I look at those are to fap to stuff that would be illegal to do so if it were real. Cartoons that are also legal even if they were real = fuck that boring shit. Even with a good story I can get a good story by just watching a decent movie with the bonus that only takes 1.5-3 hours, including the time it took to get it from a torrent. That's one lucky guy. Doesn’t matter. He’ll either be banned by the moderators or people will just block him. Then I imagine he’ll create a new profile and be back on here trolling in a day or so.what happen here!!
I was not referring to lolis, but to general AVNs. They don't make much money with rare exceptions (being a DIK is a notorious one, I like it but it's so pumped and overvalueated that its fanboys bore me). The step thing is not an American issue. There are other countries that are massive porn consumers where true incest fiction is illegal. There are absolutely no prohibitions on that in the US and the international market is what has driven it 100%. The fact that there were full incest story lines 20 years ago or so is actually because they were mostly catering to the US market, and international law governing payment processing was really the wild west. Now that other countries have international online trade frameworks in place based on their own preexisting laws, we are seeing restrictions in the US based on those markets. In fact, dumbasses in the US refer loli/shota VNs to the FBI all the time and the FBI basically just say "thanks" and ignore them because they are retarded and don't understand US law. I'm sure that someday we might see some restrictions especially now that the country has been taken over by fundamentalist religious freaks and they also control the Supreme Court (don't be fooled by the "free speech" tech bros who have thrown their lot in with this admin, they were just useful idiots for these freaks), we will see further violations of the constitution than we've already seen with this court.I was not referring to lolis, but to general AVNs. Differently from you I also enjoy normal stories, I'm not really into lolis but I like plots with teens and incest stories with MILFS (fake MILFs that look 30 years old). That's a big segment that was legal also in mainstream films before I was born but now it's considered total taboo, all regular porn producers have to adhere to the American step-bullshit thing.
The thing that I look for in AVNs is mostly the eroticism, that most regular porn lacks. Regarding the authors, I find that now there is a surplus of products so who is already known is still doing good but new developers struggle.
In my opinion we're going to see some big name in the gaming industry making a XXX game or at least with XXX content, because gaming is the only sector where sex is totally skipped (while most films and tv serie have sex scenes). Then with AI we'll see some independent studios using that new tech, but I guess the first attempts will be total crappy AI slop as we're seing with SFW productions on YouTube and similar.
Most of the step-shit market is caused by censorship from payment processors/banks. Mastercard's recent bullshit with Steam the latest example, prior to which they were supposedly incest-tolerant (it's how incest is allowed on Steam and SS, but not on Patreon), at least with cartoons. There was quite a true incest market (including actual relatives, not actors role playing or following a script) from roughly the late 1990's (and even several movies in the 1980's back when they had actual plots) to about 2015 or so when incest sites got the financial rugs pulled from under them (older Family Therapy clips are still my favorites for the most part, Alex Adams = dude with 1000+ sisters, cousins, aunts and moms) and PP's fucked them all over, with Patreon a year or 2 after that after they moved on to " indie cartoon porn". A few are still around (Luxure.tv a notable example, with scat and bestiality as well for those into that) but they basically launder their income from PP's with mainstream sites under completely different LLC's and just subsidize their good ones with those as a work-around. As far as SCOTUS, yeah, at least they are kinda old so I hope they die soon with either a Libertarian or Democrat majority after 2029.The step thing is not an American issue. Yea, it's funny, a lot of people think that these guys are "originalists" or whatever, but if you're old enough and pay attention, the one time this space broke into the mainstream for real was with RapeLay, and Scalia the original "originalist" was contemplating curtailing the first amendment because of it. We have this dual war to wage of keeping normies away from our space and religious freaks from changing the laws, and they're always in tension with each other. But the pressure on PPs doesn't come from the US. They want to operate in as many countries as possible, and they don't care enough for the money from adult content that they're willing to give up operating in fundamentalist religious and PC speech restricting countries that they'd just let US speech law, which is still very open despite the attacks from the religious freaks, guide their operations. Frankly a lot of the executives in those companies probably hate our space, but at the end of the day they care about $$$ and they get more from kicking us out and running in more countries. Most of the step-shit market is caused by censorship from payment processors/banks.
