Yea I actually liked Nicole (MC's sister in SSP) a lot.

Yeah, I really liked her too, but for me the taboo aspect needed to be part of it to spice things up, like her knowing and still letting her daughter do things with us, the whole angle of incest and betrayal, her obsessive fixation on the MC. Without that background, even if the game had a more polished character similar to her, it honestly wouldn’t be interesting to me at all.

It really seems like he’s made up his mind. The fact that he said it’s not just about the platform but about acceptance makes me think he was under constant attack for a long time, always living on that edge of fear that his work wouldn’t be valued or recognized. The Discord ban was the final straw for him. In his mind, it probably felt like outright contempt for all his effort and dedication, and that’s completely legitimate, since this is his work.


Still, I find it really sad, because in the best-case scenario he would’ve continued working on SSP2 and EGBE. Actually, something I wonder is whether EGBE really brought him a lot of new supporters. If not, then the frustration of putting in so much effort without seeing greater financial support must have influenced his decision too. It probably led him to the conclusion that he could make a lot more money with a game that’s widely accepted and carries less risk. And honestly, who could blame him? Again, this is his livelihood.


As for his promise never to come back… I hope that was empty words. Maybe it’s selfish of me to think that way, but not everything in life is black and white. I’m writing all this because to me, SSP was the best loli game I’ve ever played, and I built up expectations, only to see everything suddenly fall apart. Still, I’m not so selfish as to put my own feelings above his. I just hope everything works out with this new project of his, and that he earns plenty from it.

From what he said on discord before the ban EGBE actually brought in a lot of new subs. He probably could've solved the current issue that he was having with SS and he could've created another discord. But it was a matter of time until he something happened again.
I think he is 100% done with loli content. He will release another game, but you will never see anything again coming from the name Ketzal. The fact that he didn't even want to continue SMTL which is a game that doesn't even have lolis, just shows that he doesn't want to have any ties to anything involving that name.

Yes it's true. EGBE reenergized a lot of fans and brought in new ones. So he had every intention of making it is 2nd focus after SSP. Sadly he can no longer work on what he loves. I will miss him terribly.

I hope he makes something like headmaster except without the fucking sandbox grind bullshit. He could stay close to home with some barely legal teens. Or a girls summer camp...maybe between 11 and 12 grade. we could have a birthday on site for a 17 year old turning 18 and give her a special gift. But seriously...Why is every teacher corruption game in a school setting sandbox? I prefer smaller cup sizes and that is why I skip so many AVNs. If I see 75%+ LIs with melons hanging around in the previews, it's an instant skip^^

Understandable. SSP was a masterpiece.
But the story (as far as we could see) and the setting of EGBE was more interesting. Less family drama, no twisted family tree. MC as a photographer/director - he could have created an endless amount of photo shootings with different girls without needing them for the story as LIs but every player would have been happy to see a variety of lolis or hebes. This paired with the creativity and the design quality of ketzal was set to be a huge game. Personally I'm more sad to lose EGBE than SSP2.

I think he will do stuff with less drama. I remember him on discord talking about the things he learned from SSP and the reaction people had to EGBE. So his next game will probably not branch as much as SSP and will have a vibe more similar to EGBE. Without the lolis obviously.

Yep, just another boring vanilla game. It will be good quality game, no doubt, but I've seen some good quality games biting dust because they were just like other vanilla quality games.

A real shame the developer has already quit working on this game. It's very well made and I was really interested to see where the story line would go. I was even in the Discord server when it got nuked. If I was the dev I would just keep going despite the difficulties.

He was fighting an uphill battle trying to keep it alive/monetized, since it's his living, being able to survive/pay bills/eat is more important, issues with SS, MEE6 being nuked, there just comes a point where you just ask "Why keep fighting?"

Not that many with the same level of quality, especially when it comes to the art.

There are quite a few. I mean, the art is there, no doubt, but the CG tools are being constantly perfected and a lot of new talented Devs recently came to this medium.
And talking about the writing, for example, if you take all the multi-layered incest and lolies out of SSP, it is just a very trivial story. The family tree is what makes it great.
