Does it feel like there aren't very many "new" games that are good?

Might be just that I'm getting old or something but it seems like a few years ago, you'd check the various sites and almost every week there'd be a new game or an update to a game that was incredible. Like 2-3 games a week being updated that were just really good, really decent stories that had good renders and animations, tolerable writing, etc.

And some of those games are still out there and still being worked on, with updates periodically.
But for the last few months it feels like there's so many games that are following the fetishes/trends that I'm not really into, or that just don't spend any real time on animations/renders, or that just follow the same templates as all the other popular games.
I mean, I like Harem games for example but it seems like almost every Harem game is copying the most popular few harem games and I can't even tell you how many "Dad that's fucking his daughters, wife, sister, nieces, their friends, etc" games that follow almost exactly the same plot.

1. Get seduced by daughter #1.
2. Hide it from wife.
3. Sister comes back into life due to a divorce from her husband.
4. Fuck sister like you always used to.
5. Find out sister's daughter(s) are your kids, fuck them with sister's help.
6. Sister helps you fuck your daughter #2.
7. Wife finds out you're fucking niece, gets mad.
8. Easily talk wife out of her anger with the power of dick.
9. Fuck wife, daughters, sister, nieces, some of their friends.
10. Daughters ask you to impregnate them constantly.
11. Sister talks you into impregnating her daughters.
12. You're a very wealthy businessman who also fucks his assistant.

It's like...this could describe half a dozen games I like. But why?

It's like that "you're a college graduate and your dad just died so you moved home but now you have to fuck your mom and sister, or they lose the house to gangsters!" type of plot.

Why isn't anybody coming up with unique stories anymore? Why are all the games feeling the same?

As long as a game is relatively interesting and well animated, it's good enough in my opinion

I think the problem is the talented people aren't increasing. Games get made herr and there, but some people just don't put the effort into them. Some just make them for donations and abandon after a quick buck

I agree with you that nearly all games made today feel like carbon copies of other games, but that may also be because as time has progressed it has become more difficult to make a story that hasn't been done before, that even if you were to try and come up with your own story it would still resemble another story in some way.

Add to this that not everybody has a vivid enough imagination to come up with brand-new ideas that nobody else has ever heard of before, and even if they did those ideas might only appeal to a small percentage of people. Now I'm not defending AVNs as some of them are made with no imagination whatsoever. Still, when you put all of this together it is understandable how it is so challenging to find a story that hasn't been done in some form by another game already.

Yeah most new games have very little effort put into it because the creators use AI images or they're put very little effort.

I guess when investing a giant chunk of time and effort into something like making an AVN, it's really hard to resist using the tried and true formula to ensure some level of popularity. I've seen a few semi-recent ones that broke the mould and were far from bad (and would likely get much better with some level of success), but they tend not to get a lot of traction or attention.

Most of the easy stories have been done and the novelty has worn off. It's the same DAZ models, or the same looking HS models etc.

Personally I like that progression regardless, but it's true those are overused tropes at this point, but they can still be used with a little effort. I'd say in that case it's the nature of things because there are very limited dynamics available, unless you put a spin on it with different settings, i. e. sci-fi or fantasy instead of another contemprary setting.

Post-covid, it feels like the average time between updates of most games has increased significantly as well. Maybe the golden age is already over.

Some made AVN.
Now covid is over and they aren´t bored anymore.

seems like maybe they are popular type or easy copy paste for coding. I feel like some are the solo type so they choose the easy story line.

There is still new good games with unique stories being released but since it's so easy to make games nowadays a lot of people take the easy way and try to milk as much patreon money while doing the least amount of work possible so it's harder to find the good ones

I found Fuck95 few years back and I have to say there is improvement in quality since then. Now most games have animations, background music and other sound effects. Also a lot more renders, so you don't need to watch same pic during long monologue or something.

But yes, it does feel like there is less updates or new games. Of course for me I've played many games already, so there less new and exiting in general. At first any scrappy game was "good", because I didn't know better.

During covid there was period of time with more frequent updates. I guess devs had some extra time then.
