discussion Does anyone else wish there was a defloration tag?

Pretty much what the title says, there's a virgin tag but a lot of those games just say that one of the characters is a virgin and other than that it's just normal sex. Am I alone in wanting this or do others want it too?

That's literally what the Virgin tag is for. It may not be for every character but unless you look for a game that specifically tells you there are virgins for you to deflower then you're stuck with that.

That's what I'm saying though, a lot of the games tagged "virgin" just say that someone is a virgin and that's the only difference, it's just normal sex, which is why I'm complaining.

And that's why I said that unless a game is specially written for you to deflower all the girls you are stuck with that.

I see that there could be a niche for such a tag.. It probably would be tight though, perhaps somewhat small and it could get bloody if too much content was forcefully crammed into it

I would argue that Virgin doesn't automatically imply defloration because I think the two have very different focuses. Virgin usually focuses around the personality of the character, defloration around the physical act

I could see some use for a "bloody-deflowering" tag. It's not my thing, but I get why someone might be into that specifically, over the mundane bloodless deflowering.

I guess I wouldn't mind having it if it's there. Doujins have that tag, but that's because it makes sense for them since the whole story/situation of that doujin could be centered around it/highlights it. The story ends within 20-30 pages anyway if it's a one-shot.

For a VN/Game tho, I guess it could just say that the VN/Game has this type of scene. But the virgin tag covers that even though sometimes it turns out to not be a defloration w/ blood and such. It then becomes entirely dependent of the Dev to add that as a feature and give you the choice if you want to see it or not.

Same. More tags would mean telling what it has is more accurate. That's why there's a shit ton of tags in VNDB.
Like, the main tag "Ending" has a subtag called "Harem Ending" and it has these to be more accurate. I would like to have this system specially for the contreversial tags. If it's Unavoidable, Avoidable, Forced, etc.
