Fully this. While I love a little blood in a defloration, to me its more the action around it.
A simple, "this is my first time, ouch." then normal sex isn't defloration.
Defloration is when there is a hymen. The breaking of the hymen is apparent, an event, and there is a buildup to it, with a typical pause after the breaking. It should be impactful for the girl, not something that just gets ignored or shrugged off. A lot Hentai with the virgin tag do it right, though there are many that just shrug it off.

I love that initial moment of defloration, head thrown back, shriek of pain, quivering of muscles, disbelief that it happened, and a little bit of blood, before the action continues. That, to me, is the perfect defloration content.

Except the virgin tag means there's a virgin we end up deflowering, and in 99% of cases the tag refers to the LI, not MC.
