Do you prefer playing a VN with a Walkthrough Mod. Why/why not?

I enjoy having a WT with the game, even if I don't really need it or there aren't too many branching options, I still enjoy having it.

I do use WT option / mod most of the times if available, mainly because on most VNs theres either the "good" option and the "will miss content eventualy" option, and its not always clear which is which.

When im doing a 2nd playthrough its nice to have a walkthrough or guide to unlock everything.

I tried a few times to play without guides, but i felt many times that the answer that i choose in a scene isn't what i expect, so i have to reload or something of the sort. So i felt better knowing what effects the choices have and especially in a complex story with many paths. I wanna be able to get all scenes with the character that i want.

Same, I hate having to load back an old save from an hour ago replay and then find out I still messed up some choice

I always want to have Walkthrough on. Don't get me wrong, If you have played Jap VA or game like Mad Island or Lona. Then you better wish you have Walkthrough on. Because its kinda force habit for always save when a huge choice cames up

Yes, I prefer walkthroughs because in some games, choices can be logically meaningless, but in reality, they have an impact. Generally, I prefer games where choices only affect your preferences and don't affect the story itself. When one wrong choice ultimately affects the entire plot, that's just silly to me.

Most of the time walkthrough mods are superfluous. "Kiss Jane [Jane++;Kiss++;[KISSING SCENE]]" kind of deal. But it's nice to have, some games have really poor prose where you can't even figure out what the choices mean. Or they have rollback disabled and you find yourself picking between yes and no with no idea what the question was.

If I'm playing a game I'd rather see what all of it has to offer, minus of course the scenes I'm particulary not fond of

Depends on the game. In games like ToN, where i know i won't miss anything, i can grind for hours. In cases where i would loose some content, walkthrough all the way.

For most Ren'py games, yes, I'd rather have a walkthrough mod attached that tells you what each choice contributes to. I treat those more like scene collector games, and bad choices can sometimes ruin your chances of seeing everything.

Nah. I’d rather stumble through it first, then maybe look at some sort of walkthrough if I absolutely need it.
