Do you prefer a faceless protagonist in your games?

If there is a way to relate to the MC then I think so

either is fine, but I prefer MC being their own character so having a face is usually a plus for me

at first i thought it was strange, but now i prefer it.

I like it, because it's some kind of "wildcard" (can be everybody who wants to be the MC). Good in games made with RPGMaker or similar. In 3D / first person games, I prefer a character maker / customizer)

Definitely, I don't see the MC as a rigidly defined character. VNs are roleplaying games.

i prefer faceless mc because i like to self insert thing but not for ntr game.

i have no problem fantasizing so i prefer that they have a face

Hum, hard to say, I hardly play First Person games, so I usually have a face in the games. And I also don't mind a talkative protagonist, instead of the default silent ones from JRPGs.

I don't mind but I prefer to put a face to the mc.

For me I prefer for the protag to be faceless(face is obscured or the game is in first person perspective the majority of the game) because I like to self-insert when playing. And seeing a face that doesn't resemble mine breaks the illusion.
It'd be better if more games just had a character creation system. The blank face thing looks stupid.

3rd person is the best for story telling I don't see myself as the MC in a game, even if they want me too. A game trying to always make the face obscured it can get weird if not done well.

I'm fine with a first person perspective, but I dislike it when games try too hard to do a fully faceless protagonist. They tend to wind up taking images from weird angles, obtrusively inserting stuff between the MC's face and the "camera", doing that stupid thing where his eyes are completely shadowed, etc. All of which is far more immersion-breaking for me than simply giving him a face that isn't mine.

Semi-related, one thing I really hate in first person games is when they represent kissing by having the love interest pucker their lips and stick their tongue out at the screen in a way that does not look like a kiss at all. Would much rather just see the MC kissing the girl from a side angle.
I agree with you however I prefer when the creator minimizes showing the MC and their head/face. I'm not a fan when they decide to put the Male MC model on left/right with the person talking to on other side.

Never really care that much, but over the years I started to go more toward the faceless ones, because I find it funny the ways they find to hide MC face

Don't mind MC to be faceless. Prefer normal looking.

Nah, I really dislike a faceless MC, mostly because it limits what kind of scenes you can render.
How the hell am I going to get olympic gold in pussy diving if the renders can't so the cunnilingus except from POV or from behind so you can't see any licking action?

How can you make a kissing scene if you keep having to cover the MC's face?

In POV ^^. But I agree I don't like it too

I don't care, because I rarely associate myself with the protagonist in a game. That's why, for example, I'm absolutely fine with female protagonists.
Although I've thought about it little more, I think that attempts to create a truly faceless character usually look weird, so I rather dislike it.

Seeing a normal generic character's face is fine. Trying to always hide the face seems weird and immersion breaking. Limiting the amount of face time the male MC gets is also alright.

i like to see a face at least that way i can pretend to be good looking :ROFLMAO:

Honestly i don't care very mutch but the way that some games does it is off-putting, i think they're copying the typical hentai villain...
