Do you play as yourself or roleplay in your games?

  • I play very closely to my actual self

  • I play as a very different character than my actual self

  • I do a little of both depending on how I feel

  • I'm a crazy person that uses the default name

Sometimes, myself sometimes not, I never thought of why or how I make the choice lol.

It all depends on many factors, like if it is first person and you never see the MC then yeah i play as myself, if it is semi first person and you sometimes see the MC's face then no i don't.

Really depends on the game. If it's something that I'm just checking out, then I don't mind using the default name. If it's something I feel might be engaging then I'll play a character mostly resembling myself

as myself ... it's more fun
I'm just PRETTIER than the usual MCs

Always as myself. That's why it's so annoying when the MC names is preset and can't be changed

I do play as myself and use my nickname when the MC is renamable.

Depends on game but I play an enhanced version of myself but not human. Since video games are not real and mostly fantasy of some kind i never saw a reason to stay a regular human in games.

It really depends on the game, but I usually play as myself. I feel like it helps me get more immersed in the experience. When I play as my current self, it’s easier to connect with the game world and the decisions I make. However, sometimes role-playing as someone else can be fun, especially if the character has an interesting story or unique abilities. But overall, I tend to stick with playing as myself—it just feels more natural

depends on how much of blank slate the character is. If he has a defined family with that being part of the dynamic then i roleplay

It depends fully on the game. I have a general persona I use for games (not myself), then sometimes I will act more like myself if the game is flexible and it feels right.

It would depend on the actual storyline and how much you can affect the MCs personality

For Muhad if the game is from the perspective of Muhad then use Muhad's name. If game is from perspective of other guy then use random or default name.

Depends on the game. Some games have a clearly defined persona for the MC in which case it is easier to follow along instead of constantly fighting the intended narrative.

I guess I play as an idealised version of myself, and then sometimes deviate from that and play in a particular path if I want certain scenes.

I typically prefer to project my own perception of reality into the game and become truly one with it.
