I usually play with an alter ego mindset. It's pretty consistent and doesn't reflect my RL self.

I play games to take a break from reality. So if there are some extreme choices available you can bet I'm picking that, and also be a dick whenever presented with the opportunity. Unless it kneecaps progression in some way.

I have come up with a name for MC that I always use and then I kinda play my version of the MC. I tried with just the standard MC name but that removes me too much from the game.

I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate for the second time. This time in a completely evil group, in my opinion it is the best digital role-playing game there is to date. But I can also highly recommend it as a paper bag. If you like it a little evil, you should play the Dark Urge at Baldurs Gate! We recommend!

I play as myself but in a different world. If it makes sense to be a nice wholesome guy thwn i do that. If its a dark world i lean into that.

Self insert is the way! But certain games that are plot heavy make it hard to really be the MC, but I'd make decisions based on me anyway.
