Do you play AI-made games?

As far as I am aware, I've only played one game where the characters were made by AI. To be honest i didn't notice it, but i have used AI to generate images of my own and I do notice it is very difficult to keep characters consistent. It makes sense that I see discussion on that games discord about which models they are using and how they train them
you would think with how far ai is it could have no issues maintaining a character face at least. some are not as bad with just eye color or thickness but pls ai lords upgrade faster lol

A lot of people don't understand how generative stuff works and being able to maintain consistency at the level of a human isn't something that is likely to happen.

I am just happy a lot of these bad AI devs get post nut clarity and realize they should abandon their work.

AI-made and AI-assisted are different. If it's done right AI visuals can look fine and I won't care. If it's fully made by AI it probably won't be any good so no.

It depends. If it's not poorly made, it's acceptable.

At first I was willing to give them a fair chance, even if I disliked the method.

Now, absolutely not. Not only are they not bothering with the art, the games themselves are immensely lazy and nothing as well.

I like Project Hivemind, its an html game that uses ai for the visuals but the game is genuinely pretty fun. Most AI games kinda suck tbf

I've pretty much given up trying them. I very often filter AI out of searches for games, images, and videos these days.

So many of them have just not felt that good to play.

i have only played one fully AI made game as of now and to say it was bad is a bit of an understatement, the character moved at a glacial speed and the running animation looked more like walking. everything felt floaty as well, so i would say no i dont see my self playing any more AI games for a while at the very least

ai generated images are fine by me, it's ai generated story that turns me off. idk man they're just so... sterile.
even badly written man-made stories with broken english can still have their own charm sometimes

There's a couple I played just because they featured fapable characters but AI art is always to shiny and hard to get into.

I have not really looked too deeply at AI made games.
Been around long enough to have experienced what people have been capable of making before AI and I tend to prefer that.
The technology is getting better every day but even a really well-made AI game feels like it is missing something compared to one made normally.

A little tough topic for me. In general I quite despise AI in general because it's been "AI this, AI that, AI AI AI AI" any many places these days, even at my day job. There's also quite a lot of people posting pictures saying "I created.." and it's most obvious "AI the picture" and to me that's not creating.

It was mentioned here before, AI created is different from AI assisted. During game development there could be some portions of the workflow that are automated using some tools and that gets called AI. Much like different kinds of applications (freeware, shareware, etc.) just became "apps". So now every tool is just Ai, because the name sells well.

If the game doesn't obviously look like "AI the game" I'll possibly play it unless the devs aren't assholes about it. There's a recent Quake VR mod that makes the player accept some kind of EULA during installation that says something along the lines "I understand that just because AI was used doesn't mean the developer didn't put effort into this project" which sounds a little bit pathetic to me. Sure, list what tools or methods were used but adding that to EULA is a bit silly.

只要游戏好玩就行了。但目前的AI似乎还没达到这个标准——或许只是我还没遇到过。

Yeah I've played some for those ones they actually put effort on their art like yes it's still AI but it actually made some effort and of course as long as the writing is great it's fine.

I've read comments saying that people generally don't like AI games, even if it's only for the visuals, since there's also a possibility that the narrative is involved. Would you give games like this a chance (by paying for them) even if there’s a commitment to render everything?
if they are good , they are good

Usually never - they almost always look the same, same animation styles, same graphics; you can find some interesting character designs sometimes but still no.
A big disappointment is when the dev decides to implement AI to his game later on so when you discover this while playing it just makes you laugh
