Like 95% of the time yes i play male protag games but sometimes i play a good fem protag game
It really depend if the fem protag game is any good if not i just drop it

Most of the time I play games with male MCs simply because the vast majority of games have them. I don't mind female MCs.

Pretty much. On rare occasions I would play one with a female MC if it really ticks my boxes regarding fetishes.

Given the "Gay is icky, lesbians are hot" sentiment, Female MCs have more potential.

Personally if I see a game that says it has a female MC or even 'multiple protagonists', I leave it alone and don't touch it, sticking to 'male protagonist' centred games.

Is this true of the majority, or am I in the minority?

If you're a male, do you just want to play as a female MC in order to see her get fucked or corrupted?

Or maybe you're a female yourself and want the character to reflect your gender?
i play both but I do get picky about who gets with the girl.

I like both, for males, I would like to play it as if I'm in the situtations
For females, corruption path FTW.

Ill play either, but If I play a female protag I want a compelling story and or for there to be female love interests.

So I've been pondering this and my position now and I realise that I didn't always think like this, I read stories and played games that seemed interesting no matter the POV, MC or even some kinks or themes that I wasn't into. At least until I learned what I preferred and didn't like, or got burned by a story one too many times. I can't tell you the times I've read a story only for the MC to turn into an unlikeable character to me, mostly because of what I think constitutes a good person, that aligns with my moral code. I've found I'm 'okay' with an MC who I can relate to sleeping around but it needs some form of affection or romance involved in it, there has to be some love and not just notches in bedposts. I hate cheaters, in fiction or real life, and I know it makes me sound like a hypocrite but a female sleeping around in these types of stories/games doesn't appeal to me, it devalues her as a character to me, so playing a female MC on a corruption path doesn't appeal to me.

I guess I'm just getting old, stuck in my ways and preferences.

I can go either way if the game peaks my interest I'll give it a try.

I am a male player mostly but only because female centered games can get predictable after playing them a while. Only so many blackmail plots you can take before it gets stale.

Has there ever been a game with a female MC where it's possible to stick to one male love interest and remain loyal to him throughout the story?

I would unironically play such a game.

It doesn't matter to me whether to play for a man or a woman. As long as it's not Futa :)

I only ever play male protag, I have only ever played 1 female protag game and that was bc it was a parody game. That being said I did enjoy the female protag game and might start opening up to them but as it stands I avoid female protag games

Mostly I play male character. I played only a game Inertia where MC was a female (good but discontinued)

I'll play a female protag as long as i can avoid hetero romance!

i am glad you posted this, as i just passed a game that looked good. until i saw the female protag.

unfortunately i jsut cant get into them. theres still an element of roleplaying even if im playing as a different guy
