I like to see a lot of female LIs engaged, and a story that makes sense is usually best told from the pov of a male MC. Being a female MC and having sex with a bunch of different guys is very boring to me, and even female LIs for a female MC typically don't have the same emotional impact as a male MC and his harem.
I don't really care as long as its not exclusively lesbian. Very few game devs animate those scenes well so its mostly a waste. Also like to make female MCs big skanks.
It depends, I leave the multiple protagonists completely aside, as for the female MCs it depends on whether the couples are girls or not, a futa or lesbian heroine is fine for me, now if there are men involved with respect to the female MC I prefer to leave it aside unless it has a great drawing.
In short I prefer male MCs, but I can conditionally play female MCs
I don't care who to play as, male or female, the main thing is that it was interesting to play, and that's up to the developer. Everything else is secondary.
I usualy skip female MC. The only exception is in a very few which have amazing art, but then i just skip all dialogue to get to the CGI gallery. As per multiple protagonist I play as one particular male and all the others its skip.
There are some genres and plots that work best for me with a particular gender of the MC, but overall I enjoy games with both male or female MCs (never came across a game with a non-binary protagonist, but I'd have no objections there either). It always seems a bit weird to me when male player categorically state that they can't identify with female protagonists. That's just.. worrisome. I mean, most of us certainly have way more in common with say Ashe from "Eruption Imminent" than with Zaton from "Desert Stalker".
