Do You Like Sandbox Elements in Visual Novels?

They have a big ideas but are limited by the program they have, so in the end it seems lack luster.

I generally am not a fan of Sandboxes but there are a few that get a pass. Come Home, Straightened Times, Simple Days, and High Rise Climb keep me coming back for some reason.

I just finish the last update of simple days, and i loved the game, until u reach the end of the content, but that is understandable.

Idiocy.

Sandbox grinders are the worst things I've ever tried.

Sometimes i find sandboxgames very entertaining but when you have to start looking around for a clue in every possible part of the map to advance 0.001% and there is no clear directives the game goes in the trashcan faster then fuck.

Probably it is you skip dialog?
sometimes i have this problem, too because i usually skip it lol
that's why i hate game got large amount of text

most of the time I don't like sandbox games as its just tedious and doesn't really add to the game

Now imagine that, but you have to do it many times because of multiple paths :rolleyes:

depends on the amount of grinding and what the reward for it is. I don't mind if there isn't too much of it and it can sometimes be more satisfying to get something you grinded for

some sandbox games are tolerable but most are

since I started the grind for LC and have been using this site mostly talking on forums sometimes I forgot for a moment that I'm on nsfw site then I'll see your signature and be surprised for a moment before I remember where I I'm lol

I try to avoid them, especially those that you have to repeat day after day after day to just get an extra line of dialog each time, until you get to see a new scene.

When it comes to VNs? As long as it's not grindy I'm fine with it. But when it comes to video games I quite like them.

Sandbox games can be interesting for awhile but they usually get bogged down in what now situations.

If grind is present in the game in moderate amounts. There are games that are created, in my opinion, only for the sake of grind. There are games that do not have a hint system or a clear quest system that simply cannot be completed blindly. Ring of Lust is an example. The opposite example is Bright Past, which I really enjoyed.
