The ones that pretend to be a girlfriend are cringe, IMO. But there are some chat bots and NSFW txt generators that allow me to build an enticing story with the characters. That has been very rewarding.

I've used Novel AI and AI Dungeon (before their censorship spree) and both are very good in terms of developing stories, but there is somewhat of a learning curve to get them to generate relevant content. For example, when I first started using Novel AI it would say things like 'the person did the thing' without explaining who the person was or what they did or why I should care. After learning to use the "Author's Note" and "Memory" fields I can now tailor the AI's responses so that I get very vivid descriptions of most characters as they are introduced and also of what they're doing during important events, such as sex scenes.

It takes some trial and error to get what you want though. For instance, when I first wrote that I wanted the AI to describe girls' appearances when the MC first met them, it would go into extreme detail about things like the length of their pubic hair, the size of their nipples, and the style of their panties/bras while they were fully clothed. Obviously, the MC would not be able to see such things while they were covered up. I also wanted the sex scenes to focus on things I personally find attractive and to omit things that don't interest me, and for women I don't find attractive to not be described/become characters.

It took lots of trial and error in the beginning to get the AI to generate the types of stories I want to read, but now that I've figured that out they're fun to read. The AI mostly generates what I want now, but there are still issues that come up sometimes. The AI seems convinced that women can give birth anally, for example. Also, the AI seems to think that all the girls my MC tries to romance are Golddiggers, since they initially hate him and refuse to consider dating him, but if he says he is a billionaire, owns a castle, lives in a mansion, has an important job, etc. then they will immediately start gushing about how much they want to have his babies. So, it's not perfect, but the AI is always improving and can definitely generate entertaining sexual content.

I'm currently using a chat bot app (linky AI) and a storytelling app (AIDungeon). Both are fun to use and can generate really hot content.
Linky seems to be completely uncensored, while AIDungeon has some filters but those are easily avoided by changing the wording.
I love reading erotic stories, I don't really need any visuals. My fantasy provides these.
These apps allow me to steer the story in any direction I want, and to include any fetish I want.
Sure, they are far from perfect, but if you look at how far the technology progressed in just a few years, the future looks bright. But I still prefer human authors, the element of surprise is what's missing from the AI generated content.
It's more a manifestation of my own fantasies.

straight up smut bots are pretty boring most the time, ill do like one thing and just move on, I feel like slowburn ones or ones with multiple characters are more engaging to chat with but either way it usually ends after or even before anything sexual happens sometimes.
