I only read those that i re-play and felt the scenes interesting

To me, if the game's story is not entertaining enough, I just stop playing and go do something else for the lewds. The main attraction in VN's to me is the fact that there's a story attached as well

one could argue that the main point in avn is the story or at least forming a connection with the LI, if u are just skipping through it then why not just watch porn

I recently started to skip some of the nonsense in Lessons of Love since it becomes more boring and pointless with every update. Especially the annoying ADs for other games...or virtual games, dunno if they even exist, the ADs are annoying enough to hate-skip them by default ^^

I'm with a lot of you if its good I will read it. The other big thing is how long between the goods, even if it good but you have to read for ever to get to the stuffing that skip start to look tasty.
Still need a game where the family gets isekai in to a D and D world that use sex to recharge there mana/spells.

It depends what I'm in a mood for. Also I'm the type of person that watch porn for the story, I can't stand not knowing what going on or why people are fucking in a hentai or Doujin.

Only at begining. Some projects have good humour in those I read everything.

Mostly yes. There are some great games with great storrytelling out there (D.I.K., Artemis)

The story is the important part, the graphics should only be there to back up the storytelling.

If the dialogue is well written and if it has an engaging story, then yes.

If it's a good story I'll read it, even play it again

I always read the story. It plays a key part on if a porn game excite me or not. Brain is an important sexual organ.

When I play a game that grabs my attention for the first 10 minutes to 20 minutes , then I tend to read the story, since I'm the type of person that can not stop once I start something. So long as it does not get grindy, if it does I will probably skim through it first till something interesting happens.

yes. depends on the renders level though. if it aint good then i aint gonna read it. if its good then ill try reading. though if it is a sex scene then i will read it but skip otherwise. scene setting is important

I will repeat what everyone has said. If the food tastes good I will eat the food. If the food tastes bad I will not eat the food, except when I'm famished and there's nothing else available. Moo?

some games I read every line of dialog and really follow along with the story but honestly, most I don't.

I read everything. It's what I'm here for. If I'm bored or I realize I stopped reading, I assume I'm tired or it's boring and I stop playing. VMW or whatever the college basketball thing is was boring. Then, the intro to Chasing Sunsets was overtold and I skipped most of that and didn't miss any story beats because it all gets repeated or told better when there are actual characters talking to one another.

I don't even think that me bouncing off a story means it's bad. This is a low barrier to entry medium with newer and unexpirienced writers. There is a lot of expirimentataion that takes place in this space. Good writing takes practice and sometimes that practice happens while making a thing and the project gets better. Sometimes, it's just a different kind of story and my head isn't in the right space for it.

I'll read stories as long as they make sense, mostly. But if it's terrible, then I just skip through everything and randomly stop.

You would be surprised how many times i found myself really immerse in the story of a game. sometimes in games i wouldnt even suspected. Some are really fun, and some have really good stories.
If the script is bad, i may not even play the game. I suppose thats my bias in the matter.

Pretty much always read the story the first time through the game. If want, or have to, repeat earlier versions will skip through the text have already read.
