It's the device I spend the most time on, so it's better if I can play a game or two on it.

Its just comes down to your preference and your use case.
I hope you are not planning to play in public, that too on a tablet.
Most people play on PC, cause most people "Play" the game, its made for pc and to be enjoyed best on that platform.
But I can imagine people may need to resort to phone, but getting android port is hard for unpopular games, and the wait for update is hell.
But yes if there is no option, you can always turn to Joiplay with renpy plugins, and you dont need anything more that a mid range android to play VNs seamlessly

Yes and no. I hate iPhone so Android is the way to go. Running the games I want is just a plus.

No, I don't play games on my phone at all, maybe I would if I also had a nice tablet, but for now I play all my games on my desktop, or steam deck.

pron and games stay strickly on a personal laptop & table that aree never synced to the cell

Not actually, but I always look for the best phone that I can whenever I'm buying a new one, and it usually means good for games.

Never use mobile phone/iPad for gaming or any kind of pron as I use it professionally. I don't use any device used for work to view or otherwise play anything of a questionable nature. If I did, I'd get a cheep Android tablet and encrypt it... but probably never will. I love regular ol' games so don't get the urge anyway.

Phone is for calls, texts, 2FA and occasionally podcasts. It's PC all the way for any gaming.

I suppose I've also used the phone to troubleshoot when something is wrong with my computer.

I use my Android pad and not my phone anymore due to the size difference. I've never had a desktop PC. Maybe a laptop one day but my pad works just fine. I don't play any real interactive games needing a mouse. But that could change.

Tablet is the way to go, screen is big enough and as I don't have too much time to myself much preferred over even pc.
