if the render is good enough but i am not gonna invest in the story much, and i read too many axed manga/manhwa so the fact that it didn't have ending or finished doesn't bother me much XD

For me it depends on how much content it had before it got abandoned. If I play a game I want it to have a good supply of content otherwise I feel like I wasted my time. The story itself is also pretty important but in my opinion its second to how much content it possesses.

I do like them, some of them tend to be better than new and indevelopment i also see problems though its obvious

I will play an abandoned game if it looks interesting enough, but it's always a little sad when you play one that had a lot of potential that will never be realized.

Usually I'd avoid em. I'm sure there's some gems out there but I feel I'd just be disappointed if I do end up liking an abandoned game, just to know that there won't ever be any updates.

Just because the story's abandoned doesn't mean the animations / scenes aren't worth it. Just write the ending myself.

No. I have too little time to chase unsuccessful things. I still hate that the old Harem RPG Maker game never was finished.

there are good abandoned games out there, i play the ones that seems good but it makes me sad that they were never finished

I tend not to. Otherwise I would just end up dissapointed when you get to the end and know that no more updates are coming.

Isn't like the majority of the games and up being abandoned? If you avoid abandoned you should probably also avoid in-progress.

Yup my mentality about it as well, might as well just enjoy what has already been put out, even if it stings that nothing else may ever come of it

I agree. I do not usually go out of my way to check out abandoned games since, whether it is good or bad, it seems a little sad that the game was not finished.

On that note, I usually end up searching by the Completed tag just to know that a game is feature-complete at least (it might still get more updates but at least the base game is playable from start to finish).

I usually always just skip abandoned games no question. But seeing these replies now I think Ill give them a chance moving forward! Thank you everyone! might be missing out on some gems even if unfinished
