Hi there!
It's been a while since I described how I'd like to redo the game. You can read it

.
What has changed since then? First of all, it became clear that I won't be able to use the same engine I'm using now. Many people would probably consider this a good thing because the engine I am using now doesn't always work properly. It doesn't have full-fledged game progress saving, for example. There are problems with working in full screen mode (and windowed mode, too), with the correct layout of the interface.
Now the engine will be different, it will have normal saves, available at any time. There will be a gallery of pictures from open scenes, and the ability to replay a scene. There will be a background playback animation, not as it is now - view at the touch of a separate button.
What is already working - saving, background animations.
What has not yet been done - re-play scenes, gallery.
I'm not quite as familiar with the engine as I am with the one I'm using now. But no major problems so far.
As I make earlier, the game will be divided into days. At the moment, there are 6 days ready. I want to do just 7 days and release a demo so you can see what the game will look like.
I wrote tools that allow me to quickly transfer the game scenes from the old engine to the new one. At first, I planned that the scenes themselves wouldn't be changed, but would be ported as is. They would just be arranged in a logical and correct order.
But it just so happens that some of the scenes have changed. So far, all the changes are only to the text, not to the pictures. However, even these changes don't allow us to say that by replaying the game on the new engine you won't learn anything new. You will definitely notice the changes.
The buttons and other UI are standard, but I think this is still a work in progress. But I think that's not the most important thing yet.
I hope that in September I will be able to show a demo of the first seven days of the game
