Hi everyone, I would like to get into vn development, so I would like to know what is the best development/code software.
Thank you for helping me

For a visual novel, the best software to recommend is RenPy.

Whatever you go with though, you'll have to be prepared to learn. The best tools won't replace skill and dedication after all.

It also depends a little on your previous skills as to which developer platform is used. as a gamer, I personally don't like RPMG games.

Hello dev friends, i dont want to create a additional thread for the same question like the op has.

I have some free time now and i want to come back to my creative roots. Started to draw again and now i want to get into vn games.
I used 3dsmax with Vray in the past alot and i know how all this stuff works overall.
Decent experience with python so Renpy is safe on my side.

But i am not sure how to start with renders.
Tried to create own models in max.. i need alot more practise here.
I played a bit with Daz but its confusig to me. At this point i am unable to estimate how difficult or intense it is to learn Daz and create some first renders with all required stuff for a lewd vn.

So my question would be, should i stick to 3dMax or learn how to use Daz?

Where could i get my ressources? In the asset section here are almost only characters?

thanks in advance

I think DAZ is common in the lewd developer community here, so it's easier to get help.

For the Ren'py + Koikatsu combo.

renpy is propably the way to go but as for software I strongly advise a combination of daz and blender. unlike unreal where the learning curve is high and there are limitations on both the developers rig and the players rig for running/supporting the product, daz is more user friendly and not too resource heavy ( it does have its bad days though), and blender is completely free, open source ( huge addon database), an pretty much up to industrial standards, with a huge community to back it up. and it also combines ( not to their level though) Zbrush for sculpting and Marvelous designer for cloth simulation.

prime examples of this is In a Scent ( daz/blender/marvelous designer), Mist ( blender) and I believe Children of the morn ( blender) which is from Mist's developer.
