They did? I played every update as they came out, so I never noticed they removed anything.
I did think the latest updates bad endings were a bit lacklusters so maybe they stopped with that then.

It seemed a shame to get rid of the zombie scenes. They were hot and if they get fucked by a zombie, but survive then it seems no problem. They were actually pretty hot too. The rest is pretty standard stuff otherwise. But the dev gets to choose as it's his game

There were certain " bad ending" per say in v 5 , during the zombie chase scene with the mom .

If you picked wronged choices it ended with the mom in a crazy zombie game rape .

There's also a secrete ending with the sister being analed by a giant zombie too

- judging by recent update, were one of the devs directly in the game says that it isnt in active development anymore. Well it isnt in active development anymore. Remaining dev promised to finish game, but from now on it will be kinetic.

I hate the "incest" AVN slop trend too man... Hidden gems that actually do incest great and make it a part of the plot instead of an afterthought, go unnoticed cause of it.

So if game has zombie setting and you have family of survivors, they are all the same standard game? In that case, you forgot to mention Now and Then.

Kindread Redburns barely got off the ground in terms of its plot, we just saw other survivors before it got abandoned(we got zero worldbuilding). Oh, we actually had dynamic where mother tries to stop kids from fucking each other and control the situation, but that went different direction pretty fast in Deadmoon(mother is a bit sluttier). Besides the starting conditions(and even those had had some twist if you see 0.9 and see the glimpse into group's history), it definitely stands on its own merits just in writing the setting.
How is that less in your opinion, than same old stuff with "dad is dead/asshole, son comes back to his house full of hot family members, harem ensues" or "wife died/ex-wife cheated, dad and daughter(s) live together and became romantically involved, because he is so kind and has big dick, and every other male character in the game is a creep"?
Zombie's Retreat had almost zero incest writing, you just farmed love points and did fetch quests and they were dtf no questions asked. They might as well be roomies and landlady with long-standing relationships. Overall, writing is barely-present here, but main draw of that game was art and gameplay.

As for DMD... Sorry, having [completed] tag doesn't equal 'legendary' for me(and it took how many years to finish? Don't tell me there was no milking involved, unlike the games you disregarded earlier). I actually do try to read books in my spare time, so I require a bit more character development and overarching plot to call some VN 'legend'. You could replace 'dad' in DMD with cardboard cutout with recorded stock lines in dialogues , and no one would've noticed. That's what I call trash writing. But clearly we are different target audience(though if we are talking about pioneers of incest genre, DMD did absolutely nothing new besides quality animations, and maybe sharing, but was quickly overtook in every aspect once the trend got traction) ,so it would be pointless exercise to argue with you on its merits or lack thereof.

In the end, I'm just bemoaning the overall state of the industry(if you can even call it that. 20 years in, and we are still nowhere close to japanese market in terms of proper story-heavy adult VNs) by dumping on prominent winners of popularity contest , nothing personal against you or people who like those games . Looks like great writing isn't really valued in this medium, just pretty renders.
I guess i should be happy at least one western adult VN with good world building is soon to be completed - Superhuman.

- Redburns ended pretty much in same point as Dead Moon - MC started anally banging his sis. "Plot" of porn games is... well... it serves a certain point, that point is - fap.
