If you can use an earlier save, try that (some variables might be added later ingame, is why sometimes old saves work + are updated on the fly). Is why I keep a save from earlygame/midgame, just in case.
Depends on what and how much was changed o.c..
If that doesn't work fast forward to where you left off. What else can you do. Problem is, when the game changes drastically good luck finding your entry point to continue.
Last option, ask nicely if somebody can drop a save here. Check settings and/or open RenPy console and change MC name, and other params too if necessary.

You wouldn't want to have to play as 'Mr. Wanka-Wanka TinyDick' because another player chose so, would you?

To be honest, I'd just recommend doing a proper play-through.
The game isn't four months long and there's plenty of stuff (heh-heh-heh) to keep things interesting.
Just play it from start, all fresh-like and stuff. And enjoy the ride!

Agree with this. I just did a fresh restart and played through the whole current build, and it was worth every moment. You probably won't read every word if you've played through before, but it's still worth the play-through, and I did stop and re-read huge chunks.

Sucks April has to have boobs now etc. but having her still is better than nothing I suppose, and hopefully she gets her teddy bear back that she holds from time to time, or it makes a cameo like near a bed or in a room she sleeps in on a night stand or dresser.

I think this is the game I played along time ago where the younger sister had too large of a head. I'd assumed it was long since abandoned. Reading about the rework, and sounds interesting. With better looking characters it might be worth a replay as I did like the storyline before. My main question is if this game stands any chance of ever actually being finished?

You're thinking of Family Faring, and it's really not as bad as people make it out to be.

Agreed. Pretty much why i stopped playing and caring about Family Faring and Corrupted Love, because of all the great "reworks" and "improved renders & characters"
People should know what is legal in their country and whatisnt, before start making games like these.

That are just my 2 cents.

Nah, now that's a bit extreme. Imagine living a carefree life, having a hobby, enjoying it then suddenly you're prohibited to enjoy it and even risk having issues legally speaking. Regular game devs don't read the ToS (or rules) of everything they use or a law book before making games, so why should adult devs do it just because it's adult content ?
There are plenty of illegal things that look minor in our eyes (no pun intended) but don't think much of them or are blissfully unaware. Hell, jaywalking is pretty illegal too for that matter, but people still do it.
