I've always been drawn to the monstergirls, there's something about their complexity and depth that resonates with me, a mix of the unknown and the alluring that I find really compelling.

Ok, I do believe catgirls are monster girls. Having said that I can see the discrepancy that some people want to make. I am a-ok with monster girls and get happy everytime I see the tag on a game.

Well, if vampires are considered monster girls I don't see how much the appearance really is the point to take into account.

But it really does depend in how it is handled. I would say that if the story is able to convey some sort of byological diference apart of the tail and ears it pass. (Not sure if monster would be acurate but that certainly makes them not human)
Hmm are vampires monster girls? They meet the technical definition but.....somehow I feel that nekos are actually closer to monster girls then vampires.

catgirls are like elfs most times, just one thing different(ear and tail) with no difference otherwise. i want a 8 foot tall wolf girl whos fuzzy and has a big knot

alot of people talk about how they like monstergirls but most talk about regular girls with ears and a tail stapled on instead of a girl with a non humanoid body ,do catgirls really count as a monstergirls?
I wouldn't count them as monster girls, but I think it depends on each person's definition. For me monster girls would be like the SCP shit, Mal0 and the likes. A lot of people seem to classify anything that is humanoid but not exactly human but I've always disliked that classification, because it's way too vague.

I like nekos very much, but I'm not really into furry. I find furries to be interesting and I know they are a heavy fetish for some. For me furries just don't give the same sweet vibe as catgirls. I also find monstergirls to be on a different level than furries even though a furry is considered a monster girl.

Defiantly cat but it depends what the monster looks like

A non-human race that looks exactly like humans... but with animal ears seems kinda weird to me especially in fantasy settings.
